No because he won't get the minutes or the increased role. If anything, his role will shrink.

Dejounte has a much better chance of winning it than him imo.

??

He was a starting point guard. Now he will likely come off the bench for Murray. Nothing is set in stone, it just seems like if the Spurs think Murray is a star, he'll get most of the minutes. White will definitely have a role, but it won't be like last year when he got a lot of minutes and the ball was in his hands more.

the fact that all 3 of our young guards have the potential to get MIP alone shows how good this team could be if everything pans out right

dejounte is a comeback player of the year candidate, white can get most improved

He has to be even better than last year. I feel like last season, he had a better chance to win it all. Personally I like to see him get All Defense recognition. He got snubbed there last year.

Please explain the mental gymnastics you went through to get to that conclusion please...

It's too hard to say right now. Pop is going to have a helluva a time divvying up minutes. He is definitely capable if he gets enough run.

It's not hard to imagine any of Murray, White, or Walker getting it. All of them are in a situation where they could make a big jump.

OP, just a heads up. You accidentally hit the I key instead of the V key, bro.

White will play the role of Manu Ginobili, the star off the bench. He could win MIP and 6th man tbh

Is that even a thing in the NBA? I thought that was exclusively for football

I just hope he doesn't disappear in the playoffs again and earn another benching over fucking Mills.

I think he has a great shot at winning it as does Murray. I think even if White has the 6th man role he is going to get a decent and consistent amount of minutes this season. It's very exciting to see how the young guards are going to play
