Game 6 in 2013. I was with friend, most of them Heat fans, cause LBJ. When we were up by 5 with 28 seconds left, I thought it's over. The rest is history. Even though, we performed the biggest choke job in the NBA's history, for me that 47:30 was the best basketball to watch with friends.

2014 was a great redemption, BTW.

Duncan's three against the Suns, or the Gino game winners against GSW (both in 2013 and in 2018) are unforgettable too.

Horry's 2005 shot still give me chills, while 2007 was the easiest ships of them all.

That Kevin Willis putback dunk against the Lakers in '03, our bench losing their shit. I don't know why I love that particular moment so much. I guess it was just that perfect cherry on top after seeing TD destroy Shaq and everyone.

Also really just seeing TD dominate(I think he started 4th with an absolutely beautiful floater you just don't see from big men) with so many moves while getting hammered in that game, Walton commenting on it. That's my favorite Spurs moment/game probably.

That same game Tolbert was making fun of the LA smog when they came back from a commercial with a shot of the Staples Center from outside and Tolbert said all he could think of was emphysema.

One of my favorite memories was being in the house for David's first game. Until then I had never known a good Spurs team, I don't think I had ever seen the Spurs win a game against the Lakers either. Nice! That was such a great game. Easily my favorite live sports experience.

2nd place goes to Manu putting up the game-winning basket against Dallas. This one wasn't as hype as Tony's, but Spurs made a huge rally in the final minutes after being down most of the game:

I can't find any videos of it but for me, one of my favorite memories was the 1997 nba draft lottery. When they opened the envelope and it showed the 2nd pick and it wasn't the spurs and you can hear peter holt cheering. Man, i was so ecstatic that we got the #1 pick knowing Duncan was coming out of college. I knew he was going to be special, but man he became a legend. Good times.

Another great moment from that game was Manu isoing Kobe, then Kobe pulling up his shorts and getting in his stance like I'm gonna shut this motherfucker down. And then Manu goes right by him for a layup. I think it was in the fourth not too long before that Kevin Willis putback.

-Of course all the Championships wins

-Not sure of the year, but I believe it was Manu's rookie season.. we were on a furious comeback against Dallas and Manu was running the fast break off a steal iirc.. He dribbled the ball behind his back around the defender, and if that wasn't enough he immediately transitions into a behind the back pass to Bowen on the cut.. We lost the game and I remember Pop tearing into Manu (Pop didn't know who Manu was yet) but this was the moment when I realized Manu had giant balls.

-Memorial Day Miracle of course needs mention. Probably the loudest I've ever yelled after a Spurs play, and the energy in the Alamodome will probably never be matched. 35K people were seriously jumping up and down yelling at the top of their lungs. Epic.

-Manu off the steal into a POSTER jam teabagging Yao Ming was nice

-The anger of Juwan Howard ending our season when he obliterated Derek Anderson. The ensuing anger when Derek Anderson demands a raise the day after LA swept us :lol

-Watching David in person during the 96' ASG. My favorite ASG of all time, for a variety of reasons.

Good thread Manny!

So many great memories...a lot of which you all did a great job capturing here. '99 will always stand out for me because we finally rose to the summit after working to get there for all those years. AJ's late jumper and Spree's miss with David and Tim in his face are etched in my mind. Vindication. Every other championship after that was gravy. Witnessing the rise of the Spurs dynasty, and the respect the franchise gets around the league is incredibly satisfying.

I can't separate the good from the bad....

I didn't even watch the 2012 Finals after the refs stole them from the Spurs. I knew OKC would have no chance against the Heat while the Spurs would've creamed the Heat.

River parades have been pretty cool tbh. Only Spurs Talkers can say ‘gas up the riverboats’ and it means something significant tbh.

I have two odd ones form the 99 season, although seeing Robinson go off the court in 03 game 6 and 2014 are probably my favorites.

First was late regular season and the Spurs where starting to look like a contender. Game 41 of 50 at Utah and the second half the Spurs just shut down Utah. After all those years you started thinking maybe this is real.

The second was game 3 WCF at Portland- up 2-0, 3rd quarter Spurs with a 2 point lead and Duncan on the bench with fouls and DRob leads them on a run and an eventual 18 point lead.

Duncan's game winner to knock out Seattle, made particularly sweet after the entire crowd had cheered when he hurt his ankle.

The Sonics never recovered from this, tbh.

Which is why I never was on the "Poor Seattle" train when they lost their team. Justice served.

Championship seasons:

Game 6 of the 2nd round series vs Lakers and ending that dynasty with Kobe and Fisher crying from the bench.

Duncan's almost quadruple double in Game 6 of the Finals and D-Rob going out a champion.

Horry's 3 against Detroit in Game 5

Spurs/Thunder Game 6 2014 - Still my favorite Spurs playoff game of all time. Not a lot of people believed we could beat that team. Nephew's strip on Westbrook/Duncan making the game winning shot and calling the title after that. Sending that faggot Fisher into retirement.

Games 3-5 of the 2014 NBA Finals - Absolutely beautiful team basketball that can't be replicated again, considering the Spurs weren't a top heavy team like the Warriors. Sending that faggot Battier into retirement.

Years we lost:

Beating the 2 seed Mavs in 2010 after the Spurs lost two consecutive playoff series to them was one of the more underrated moments for me. Only time RJ did anything of note for the team (other than his 2 missed FTs when he played for the Warriors). Plus Jason Terry claiming before that season that the Mavs were better than the Spurs.

Tim Duncan's 3 against Phoenix

Sweeping Dwert's Lakers with Kobe quitting from the bench and Dwert getting outworked by virtually every Spurs big that series including Baynes and Blair :lol

Spurs/Warriors Game 1 2013

Sweeping the Grizzlies in the WCF after the 2011 upset

Danny going off in the 2013 Finals, Parker's game winning shot in Game 1 and Parker's 3 pointer/layup to put the Spurs up 2 in Game 6 (even with the shitty result that followed)

Duncan's spectacular series against the Clippers in 2015. Such a shame the rest of the team and Pop's coaching let him down and considering Tim was pretty much done as a player the following season.

Not as big as playoff moments, but as a kid they’re vivid:

1) Robinson’s ejection at Houston for yelling at the official. Went ballistic. Think is was 94.

2) Sean’s inbound game winner at the Cavs in 95. Slipped the pick for a backdoor lob, game winning layup. That was the first time feeling like we had an actual chance in the playoffs.

2014 Finals. Beating the piss out of the Heat in games 3 and 4 was SOOOOOO Satisfying after the debacle in Miami in 2013 game 6. I relished it, and re-watched those beatdowns so many times..

Manu dropping 48 in Phoenix. I had to work late that night so taped it and watched through the third quarter when they were down 17 or something. Then I came here to bitch about the loss only to see Manu carried the Spurs all the way back to an OT win. :lol

That was damn great moment. Not sure if the same stretch but when Spurs went up 2-0 on the road vs Phx ...in the conference finals I think. Manu with the clutch behind the back then layup.

- '97 lottery (close to most excited I have ever been about anything spurs related)

- finishing run to close out the '98-'99 season. We were clobbering all the clubs that had given us fits for the last 8 years, so I knew that year it would happen as long as Tim and David stayed healthy

- Sean Elliot taking Kobe to the torture chamber in the '99 playoffs. Kobe got pissed and wasted the Lakers possessions trying to save face. Sean's game shined in that series.

- David's last game (bitter sweet)

- Manu's rookie year and every year after getting to watch him play

- Duncan's bank shot

- Duncan's quadruple double (in my book)

- Kobe and Fisher crying

- Horry's dunk and clutch three in '05 finals

- The beautiful game

For me the greatest memory is game 6 of the OKC series in 2014. I legit expected the spurs to fold again like they did in 2012 so it was chilling to see the spurs step up and dismantle the thunder. The Boris Diaw 3 pointers as well as Ginobili's late game 3 was unforgettable. I honestly believe the Manu 3 was just as clutch as Kawhi's strip

Another great moment from that game was Manu isoing Kobe, then Kobe pulling up his shorts and getting in his stance like I'm gonna shut this motherfucker down. And then Manu goes right by him for a layup. I think it was in the fourth not too long before that Kevin Willis putback.

LOLOLOLOL The announcers even sucked him off when he pulled up his shorts like "Uhoh here comes the all nba defensive team kobe mode, here we go lakers"
Good shit :tu

Ain't nothing like your first time, ala '99.
But after that, beating PJ's Shaq and Kobe still gives me a stiffie.

And my, how we miss Bill Walton:

"How many players have played this well ever?...What Tim Ducan is doing right now?"
"Phil Jackson is in Kobe Bryant's face, saying 'What about some defense down there?'
"Penetration and dish, championship style. Take it at the big man."
"Duncan and Willis bump heads, that's impressive." (After Willis' rebound dunk.)
"This is going to go down as the greatest victory in the history of the Spurs organization."

In many ways, 2003 was more satisfying than 99. Got to shove that little punctuation mark up Phil's asterisk...

-Porky getting hurt at halftime
-Crazy run to end the 3rd
-In typical RefKC fashion, Ibaka's goaltend on Ginobili is missed but Nephew makes one of the all-time defensive plays in playoff history
-Westbrook almost stealing it from Duncan, Westbrook almost blocking Duncan
-Old man Timmy with the dagger and the great contest on Domino's 3pt attempt
-Duncan guaranteeing a Finals victory in the postgame interview

Edit: I almost forgot....sending that faggot Fisher into retirement :lmao

Damn roach Reggie Jackson trying to injure Diaw but hurt himself
