Hardball is the same engine that Old Time employs. I bought it originally at release, but, it's always been a problem finding a suitable OS to lodge it in. An old CPU finally died and I had to download Old Time from a company on the Internet.
I've had a lot of fun thru the decades with this game. Lives in my heart.
Like most of the old computer games the AI is a problem and Old Time ain't no different. By the time you get to the World Series it's really not baseball anymore, but, a quest to succeed over that isolated AI.
Right now I'm playing the 1980 season as the Cleveland Indians. I had a game go last nite with the Yankees for 24 innings! I finally won it bottom of the 24th with a squeeze play. Cerone caught the throw from Gossage but it came off his catcher's mitt & thru his legs and I won.
