View Full Version : Western Conference GM Echoes Pops opinion: Kawhi is not a leader. He is only looking for his. Doesnt deserve a max contract.

All over the news my man. Just google it.

Just find the leader comment suspicious and the fact that the spurs didnt initially want to offer the supermax.

Kiwi can’t even wipe his own ass much more lead. He is a deadly assassin though

He was a jackass to a team that created him and coddled his development / injury so he could get his way to LA. But was instrumental in a fifth ring.

He’s a mercenary, but a damn good one at that. Toronto will forever be happy. He may be out for himself, but he’s worth way more than the max.

He got what he wanted and lost out on a lot of money too. He did pay a price for going home. We should all move on. If we can trade DeRozan for a good player that fits the team better, the future is bright for SA

After game 3 and 4 vs Bucks, no one in this league can't say Kawhi isn't a leader.

When Raptors were lost, when a rookie coach and a point guard/playoff choker were silent, Kawhi was the guy who told his teammates the right things to keep them focused on the game.

All his teammates talked about his leadership in that series. It's funny how some GMs want to ignore it

kawhi wants to play basketball, have an impact on a game and chase another chips. He doesnt care about money and is a poor leader. He aint like huge attention and prefer the well organized teams form which only a few or non plot twists are coming from. Just a silent killer. I think that the one of the main reasons he has left the spurs was no chances of winning another ring.

Don’t be silly. Spurs beat injured Dubs with Kawhi, and would win again this year with Aldridge and the young guards against any one.

dont think so, 1) our young guys arent good enough yet, 2) aldridge was slightly, but still, worse with kawhi than without him now, 3) u really think that durant+klay+thompson>kawhi+aldridge? 4) u may say „yeah but he carried tor to chips” but remember that 1. gsw was injured and 2. tor had more talented and experienced players in gasol, kyle or siakam.

LMAO! Rick Fucking Bucher writes an article quoting an "anonymous Western Conference GM". (I guess we're supposed to assume its Buford, since it's the West?) Then some soy boy writes a rebuttal, supposedly after talking to another "anonymous NBA exec". (That could be anyone from Adam Silver to the Clippers Assistant Director of Player Development.) Then a half dozen bloggers upgrade some of the details and puke it back out.

And that's "all over the news"? :lol

Thanks for the Kawhi update. I'm glad all this didn't get buried in the 400 page Kawhi update thread we already have. This is important shit.

And Pop was officially proven way wrong as Kwa took the Chip his 1st farking season with Toronto while he and Coffee Boi his annointed Leader couldn't even get out of the 1st round.

Dude won a ring in Toronto. That alone makes him a max player. Now the argument could be that he is always injured so he doesn’t play even close to a full season so I wouldn’t pay him the max. But again, he won a ring in Toronto. Man deserves his money.
