Meh. It's going to break down during the first year and you'll spend the rest of your life regretting you ever got it.

You need to talk more about yourself and regale everyone with personal anecdotes no one will read. Get that aspect right and you'll knock this one out of the park.

It's ridiculous to pay that kind of money just to have a logo on your car. They build all these engines in the same factories. When I was in college, I dated this chick who's parents were both neurosurgeons so they pretty much bought her a new car whenever she wanted one. She got a brand new Lexus during her sophomore years. At the time, I was driving a 1999 Ford Escort. She was an alcoholic so I was always having to driver her home (we'd use her car on dates because the sound system was actually pretty good). It had no more pickup than my Escort. The next year when she wanted a new car, she asked me if I wanted the Lexus. I said no thanks. With the money I'd spend on yearly maintenance, I could have lived in a nice condo in North Dallas.

Audis really are a scam though in all fairness. Those "in between" overpriced cars.

Depends what you're into, tbh. I'm not an SUV guy, but the new porsche cayenne coupe is pretty nice. Porsche is known for good reliability, audi is middle of the pack a little better than BMW but below mercedes overall industry average I think. q8 is a good bit bigger in the back though im sure

I had and S7 that got totaled in an accident last year and while expensive it was an amazing car.

right. I'll take an Audi over the other luxury vehicles any day...they're my favorite out of the german cars. that cayenne coupe is clean too! the Q8 has decent room, not as much as the Q5 tho. the dealer compared the Q8 to the lamborghini truck, which audi owns.

If you're going to pay that much for a car just get a Ferrari or something. Audi is half-ass in luxury terms.

I paid 60k for it as a 2 year old car w/ 22k miles on it.

A 2 year old Ferrari costs a fuckload more than 60k

Audi Lexus, Nissan. Some cars that are not really worth the money.
Agree a Porsche would be awesome. Range Rover would look great but break down in 2 seconds. BMW looks great, a little more reliable but costs more than the Audi. Personally I prefer Mercedes but not their shitty small SUVs

And OP's Audi has the lines of a Buick or some shit.

How you like the new GT 4 door? Had a test drive while I had my car serviced, it's a nicer drive than the panamera which surprised me.

Got totaled after getting hit by a truck 9 months after I bought it and the insurance company valued it at 61k.

Id say I did just fine.

That's some good insurance. Doesn't take away the fact it's a gas guzzler. What's the point of getting a sports car again? Everyone I've ever known with one is an arrogant, snobbish dick.

Fun? I don't see why so many males value "fun" and speedracing over practicality, efficiency, cost-saving, and the environment. I guess it's better to be more feminine in that aspect.

Plus, what's the point of wanting to go 90+ when the fastest speed limits on freeways in America are 75 MPH? Not willing to risk a ticket and hiked insurance premiums over some thrill-seeking "fun". You've got to be crazy.

Gas fill compartment on the right (wrong) side of the car. That's a dealbreaker for me. I'm not about to pull up to some gas station and give some darky a chance to rob me while I'm filling my tank.

No shit.:lol

The newer domestic muscle cars are really taking a nose dive style-wise imo. I'm not really a fan of the new Camaros either. At least Dodge holding the line with the Challenger and not caving to some shitty redesign. I have a '13 GT and I feel that was the last good looking Mustang they made. I'll probably pay it off and supercharge it. For an additional 10-15k I can have a car that looks good and can outrun that new Vette.

That's what I was thinking of doing. I have an 11' Vette and I was looking into either dropping a Whipple blower in it or just trading it in for a C7 Z06 when the C8 drops.

nah, if true I'd rather move up north or out west to be in a much less toxic "masculine" culture, where I'm not expected to have a truck, love dogs or drink whisky to fit in, tbh.

If it's a stranger (especially one with a chain and tats), yep. But I do find black friends at work, we mostly talk football and basketball. I only trust black males that are educated.

How big of a pussy do you have to be that you base car purchase decisions on whether or not you have to walk around the vehicle to pump gas, because somebody might mug you? I guess when you're 5'5" and 120 lbs you make an easy mark. Just keep some pepper spray in your purse, Andrew. Either that or grow a pair of balls.

:lol his logic is flawed either way because if you're that big of a pussy a potential mugger won't be deterred by the fact you can more easily access the gas pump

VMP has some sick fucking blowers out now for the Coyote. Their Gen 3 runs about 8k, but it's all that will ever be needed as its adjustable down to the 600's or up pushing 1000. There's a guy that has one that has put some vids up on Youtube of him breaking 10 seconds in the quarter.

I'd like to settle in between 700 and 800hp. Still daily driveable but I can also take to the track and toss some drag radials on it and have a little fun.

Andrew is right, tbf. Cars are a depreciating asset and money pits. I've put close to 10k into my GTI already and still have a bigger turbo, clutch upgrade, accompanying tune, and probably a LSD to go (another 8k+). I'm sure I'll find more stuff for it to splurge on too.

I was - looked at the Audi, Jag and RR, but decided to go with the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Got a model I liked with some upgrades and I go camping a lot etc with the wife and friends so thought it would be better for that. Happy with it but really liked the other cars too.

While cars are not investments in any way, and should be classified as a toy beyond a certain point, it's all about about ratios. It isn't for me to say that a billionare can't drive a certain vehicle because it's "unnecessary". And it isn't Andrew's job to critique other people's vehicle purchases just because his BB&B wage only gets him so much.
