"Fallen Angel"

a short story by Dale Robinson

---------

"Jenny's dead."...

It was a direct hit of unimaginable, sustained recognition.

He'd hit again 3 years later with his daughter in a seminal motion picture event....

"Judge me, oh Lord, for I have lost in mine integrity. I have trusted also in the Lord, therefore I shall not slide."

The slide was steady, inexorable, & in-comprehended by perpetrator & victim alike. For a time the fall was ignored as we're want to do, but, the vulgarity & unlicensed compounding of trespasses became truly remarkable.

------

Diagnosed in 2006 with a virulent form of cancer, Farrah Fawcett placed a 3 year battle with the disease.

"You'll hold me now?"

For the second time in his life & for the first time that it was not an act Ryan O'Neal climbed onto a hospital bed and held a dieing wife.

---

"Don't try and change people
Love people
Love changes people"

---The End---
