To celebrate the launch of our new homepage at SpursTalk.com (https://spurstalk.com), we are holding a contest for anyone willing to leave comments on the articles. One winner will receive $50 as either a PayPal payment or Amazon gift card (your choice). You will also receive a "spur" under your username on the forum.

All you need to do to enter the contest is to leave meaningful comments on any of our articles on SpursTalk.com. Every comment you make counts as one entry. That means that the more comments you contribute, the higher your odds are of winning. Please note that low-effort comments will not count as entries, so at least write 2 or 3 sentences.

If you've already been commenting, any comments you have made since the launch of the homepage will count toward this contest as well. So those of you who have already made comments, you have a head start.

The winner will be selected at random and announced in this thread on August 19 at 9PM central. We will email the winner at the email address left when making the comment, so please make sure to use a valid email address for that.

If this contest proves to be popular, we will probably do this on a monthly basis going forward. Please note that we cross-post most of the articles onto the forum but not all of them, so check the homepage for the latest articles. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Also, we just launched official Twitter and Facebook pages for SpursTalk. Give us a follow!

does the post have to be all serious and shit? What if I make a valid comment but at the same time point out how gay rob Diaz is?

I did a comment but will post here as well - currently all articles by same writer - the homepage would benefit from more diversity despite his fine writing.

To celebrate the launch of our new homepage at SpursTalk.com (https://spurstalk.com), we are holding a contest for anyone willing to leave comments on the articles. Are the smiley faces under the

"What is your reaction?"

asking us our reaction to the subject matter or what we thought of your writing?

Example: "More Talk of LMA wanting to go back to the Blazers." I think it sucks that instead of putting 100% effort into a Spurs Championship this paycheck collector is planning his retirement years. But I thought the article was very well written. So which am I "reacting" to?

Probably up to personal interpretation - there is no set guideline but my interpretation is you're reacting to the subject matter and content, not how well or how poorly the article is written.

Interesting that all comments undergo moderation for the articles, unlike the forums where almost no amount of racism, homophobia, or anything else is off limits. I actually like the change, but why now?

the articles are more public facing. you at least need an account to access the forum.

Because the owners want/need/deserve ad money. Hope the cesspool stays dirty in the meantime before Lakerfans taddle to Google
