Getting "ripped" is only meaningful if it prevents him from being pushed around on defense. He has to stand his ground when getting backed down. Fight thru screens.Then we can celebrate how good he is. The shot is there, but he has to improve on defense to get maximum playing time. Spurs need his outside shot which is more reliable than probably anyone on the team now.

I think he went from an F on defense in past years to a D. If he can get to C or even C-, that's all we can ask out of a $3M-per-year shooting specialist.
