"You win a ring, nobody is going to talk about that years down the road. But if you build a legacy in a place, that’s going to go on for a long time (https://theathletic.com/1115283/2019/08/04/john-wall-im-not-one-of-those-guys-that-wants-to-play-for-multiple-teams-i-want-to-play-for-one-organization/)."

The way they play, I can't imagine they ever compete for a ring.

Maybe he doesn’t know that the last time DC won a ship was 1978? It’s been 40 years homie, I’m pretty sure they’ll remember if you bring them a ring.

Of course he could’ve meant that by stealing $40 million a year from the Wiz to miss the playoffs every year would be a legacy that lasts a long long time :lol

He'll most likely miss all of next season, and then not quite be himself the season after that (See: Paul George, Gordon Hayward), and then finally, with luck, "return to form" the following year, as a 32 year old PG who relies on quickness more than outside shooting or fundamentals...

I get the hate for his contract... But not his thoughts for loyalty and ring chasing... You would think Spur fan. Would at least praise that, post uncle Dennis.
