Which 3 WRs to start out of these four:

A. Robinson
B. Edelman
C. Kirk
D. Moncrief

Millennial_Messiah
09-02-2019, 05:51 PM
1) Pittsburgh's defense sucks and Brady is Brady at home, so Edelman.
2) Green Bay's defense isn't particularly good, so Allen Robinson.

The other 2 are a crapshoot. I wouldn't bet against Bill Belichick on defense, but since it might be a high scoring game I'd probably take Moncrief over the unknown that is Kyler Murray's arm on a bad team that has a decent amount of mouths to feed already. Pittsburgh has JJSS and who else?

Blake
09-02-2019, 05:56 PM
Yeah Kirk is the unknown that could either go off for a buck fifty if that offense does what it did in college or he could get 3 catches on 12 targets if Murray gets chased around with that horrible O Line.

Hmm 2.7 points or 2.8 points

You kinda know what you'll get with Rudolph. Biggest potential surprise pay off would be Jimmy, imo

Alright negroes, here's muh team (FA/WW pick-ups in red, trades in blue):

Week 1

QB - Russell Wilson
RB1 - David Johnson
RB2 - Leonard Fournette
WR1 - Tyreek Hill
WR2 - Tyler Lockett
TE - Kyle Rudolph
Flex - Mark Ingram
IDP - Bobby Wagner
D/ST - Rams
K - Stephen Gostkowski
--------------
BE - Jimmy Graham
BE - Philip Rivers
BE - DeVante Parker
BE - Peyton Barber
BE - Dante Pettis

Who to start at the Flex? I have Ingram right now, but I think Parker has huge upside because of September Fitz (and Stills being traded).

I’d probably go Parker because I’m still worried about the Pettis injury on top of how average he’s looked.
But this is the kind of decision I make and in hindsight realize I should have stuck with Ingram. It really shouldn’t even be a tough decision.

tryin to figure out what to do with my WR/RB situation. as of now, i have to bench one of gordon/cooks/mack every week. once we start hitting bye week scenarios, that depth could come in handy. but in the meantime feels like wasted value.

plus having both AB and Gordon feels unnecessary. considering packaging gordon with mack for a true RB1. that colts OL looks amazing, but he got no work in the passing game and got half of his fantasy points on one play

I have Gordon too and he's very benchable now. He will get flex points but I have Sammy Watkins too, and some backup RBs that will all be more reliable than Gordon usually is. I'll just miss out on the one game he gets 2TDs

im being offered Julio Jones and John Brown for Marlon Mack and Josh Gordon

my current receivers/running backs:

WR: Antonio Brown, Brandin Cooks, Josh Gordon, Terry McLaurin
RB: David Johnson, Mark Ingram, Marlon Mack, LeSean McCoy, Chris Thompson

my current flex play is typically going to be marlon back, with me having to bench josh gordon or brandin cooks, which does feel like a waste

if i make the trade, it becomes

Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Brandin Cooks, Josh Brown, Terry McLaurin
David Johnson, Mark Ingram, LeSean McCoy, Chris Thompson

my 2 WR/2 RB and flex becomes a lot more simplified with Cooks as the weekly flex, and my best bench player becomes john brown, who i dont feel as bad about benching

John Brown is legit, but I don't believe in Josh Allen or that offensive line for that matter to allow for Brown to catch many deep balls. Most teams aren't as shitty at pass rush or corner as the Jets.

He's not in a Desean Jackson like perfect situation where he's flanking the perfect WR1, TE1 with arguably the most accurate deep ball throwing QB in the league and arguably the best pass protecting line in the league. I'm happy I got Djax

I would go with Gordon and Cooks. AB is AB but real tough to see him having a huge day with only a week of practicing that playbook under his belt. Goff at home plays much better than on the road so Cooks should have more value this week too. It's the safer play, AB could still fuck around and have a good game but it's not like you are starting bums over AB here.

I actually think all the people shitting on Gordon's value since the AB signing are fucking idiots and Gordon is gonna be just fine in fantasy getting single coverage all the time.

100% the guy saw he was about to stack 2 Colts players and wanted off that spot. Still a bitch move what he did but it's fantasy player psychology 101. The hive mind has told everyone to tank Colts player values since Brissett isn't Luck, and he is following suit.

Also my team

.5 ppr 12 man 1 qb 2 wrs 2rbs 1 te 1 flex /k/def

QBs Wilson, Carr(Waiver)
RBs Bell, Michel, Sigletary, Miles Sanders, Carlos Hyde
WR's Julio, Watkins, Golladay, Tyrell Williams, Hollywood(waiver)
TE Kittle
Def Min
K Butker

So I'm flexing tyrell williams because the last two years Carr has feasted on the Chiefs in Oak, and that chiefs secondary is trash, hopefully that doesn't bite me in the ass.

Breh it is what is is. We didn't protect the guy and made him get smashed behind terrible OL's for 5 seasons so we kinda deserve it. The timing of it was just really shitty. I'm not all in on Brissett but there are definitely worse starting QBs in the league. I just don't have a lot of expectations right now. I was very impressed by how they played in Week 1, the team played great and Vinatieri choked.

Luck averaged over 30 sacks a season before they drafted Nelson last year and he only took 18. Two seasons of over 40 sacks. They didn't draft Ryan Kelly until 2016, coincidentally the same year Ryan Grigson got fired for his team giving up 41 sacks and getting Luck injured. Castanzo is good but let's not act like Andrew Luck wasn't thrown to the wolves behind bums like Samson Satele and Mike McGlynn the first half of his career just because one out of five guys grades out as decent. Look, I don't know you. Maybe you spit good takes on this forum. But this wasn't one of them.

Marlon Mack ran 17 routes against the LAC. Dont let the stat sheet fool you. Reich has said he wants to get him involved in the passing game. Hes going to be a solid RB1 all year even in PPR formats.

QB- Watson
RB- Chubb
RB- D Freeman
WR- Adams
WR- Bradin Cooks
TE- TJ Hockenson
Defense- Vikings
K- Tucker

Bench
RB- J Jackson
RB- Rashaad Penny
RB- Royce Freeman
WR- Christian Kirk
WR- Michael Gallup
TE- Jared Cook

My RBs are a mess, especially since Freeman didnt look good last week. Someone offered me Kerryon Johnson for Kirk and Gallup. I'd lose my WR depth, but I feel I need to make a move for a RB. What do you guys think?

How many teams? 2-1's are stupid, he's trying to hope you'll sell low on gallup, and do you really want 2 members of the lions offense on your starting roster, they still have to play the bears and vikings twice. Also i wouldn't worry that much yet about freeman, because last week the Falcons played their most difficult opponent of the season.

Yeah I know I need to trade for a TE, probably will depending on what trade scenarios become logical after this weekend. I think the Colts go back to using Ebron exactly like they did last year with Devin Funchess hurt now, but TEN defends TE pretty well. Have McDonald in there now and need to be talked out of thinking last week will happen to him again.

i have the choice of lesean mccoy and marlon mack tonight... mack is a game time decision. if he's active, do i roll with him? he has higher upside, but if the chiefs take a big lead early and colts abandon the run, his floor is quite low. meanwhile i think mccoy is a lock for his 12-15 touches

the very fact that he's a GDT also scares me... if he's barely healthy enough to play that doesnt bode well for a big performance

i mean, the cliche in FF is generally to "start your studs"... and mack has been a stud this year. i was scarred off by his injury and fear that they would get blown out, etc etc. basically talked myself out of starting him when it should have been the default move.

That too, this year more than most in recent memory. The stars are all getting hurt and scrubs are running the show, which is very bad for the NFL tbh. No one gets hyped to see the Steelers 3rd string starting QB, throwing to some random dudes from the street.

Coulda just looked at what marlon Mack did to them last game + Chris Jones was out. I lost cause of josh Gordon’s Thursday. Silver lining is i got Mack/Jacobs byes out of the way and i got tyreek back in full force going forward.

cooks has been a huge bust... mostly because their offensive line has fallen apart, so the deeper routes dont have a shot to develop. its why kupp is still eating despite their struggles.

falcons D is exceptionally poor, so i think im probably starting him, though i am trying to trade away some of my WRs

Yeah,...I've had him since week 2. He looks great. But I've been starting Cooper/Godwin/Lockett over him. I was really torn last week between Lockett (who barely gets any targets) and McLaurin. Of course I picked the wrong one.

Cincy has been playing a ton better on D. Made a red hot Sam Darnold look like well, the spectre seeing Darnold of earlier in the season. This is a tough one. I'd lean Baker because Goff has been so unpredictable, I imagine this is an important week for you, so Mayfield. Are you currently in the playoffs or is this regular season?

Playoffs. QB has been my Achilles most of the year with Goff and Jameis, but Baker got cut recently so I picked him up, mainly just to go insane trying to decide which of these shitty QB’s to roll the dice on. I ruled out Jameis for sure but am torn on the other two.

Yeah that’s the concerning part. Every last “expert” acts like Breida is irrelevant and that Mostert is an RB2 lock. I’d bet one 40 yd run from Breida would change that dynamic quickly.

But then Singletary could get 15-20 touches of just running into a brick wall.

Maybe a little but not enough to not play Mostert with some confidence. There was some comment by Shanny recently praising Mostert and talking about him earning the #1 spot.

So, I'm winning my game 141-139. My opponent is done, and I have Jared Cook tonight.

With Cook in the lineup, my "chance of winning" (according to Yahoo) is 93%. If I remove him from the lineup, of course that changes to 100% because the game would be over.

So, should I bench Cook just in case he fumbles and gets negative yards? Or is that considered unsportsmanlike to intentionally play an empty slot?

So if you've been eliminated from the playoffs, do you quit setting your lineup even if you've got multiple inactive players starting? And fuck it up for the rest of the teams still in contention?

you should still set lineups. you cant act as a de-facto bye week for other players towards the end of the season.

thats different than arcadian's example, where he's competing to win. benching cook isn't "tanking" to give somebody else a free win, its competing.

general rule of thumb is you should always play to win. i think the only grey area is where you are locked into a playoff spot and consider tanking the last week to determine who does or doesnt make playoffs if you think that gives you an advantage
