A woman was pecked to death by a rooster, pathologists say
According to pathologists from the University of Adelaide and the Netherlands Forensic Institute, a domestic rooster attacked the woman on her rural property, pecking at her left leg and "causing significant hemorrhage with collapse and death."

I read this the other day. Article title is kind of clickbait. You go in thinking it was a gruesome murder by a mad rooster, but it was really just a freak accident. Elderly lady had some health problems, including some vein related ones. The rooster pecked her right on one of her veins and she bled out.

Yeah plus roosters don't peck when they attack. It's those spurs on the back of their legs that do the damage.
