Nothing new here, but, we are deep in the dog days of the NBA. It's good to even see the Spurs on the NBA page.

Getting psyched to follow the plot of the upcoming season. Might be some growing pains, but, I think it will be a better season than last.

Go Spurs!!!!

Hopefully Murray will be a key addition to last year's team as well.

I loved this: "
The Spurs didn’t find the superstar needed to thrive in the loaded West". LOL. It's not that they didn't find any. They couldn't afford any.

Can't get here soon enough. I can't take many more of these "Is David Robinson Underrated?" threads. Just gimme some basketball.

Spurs will go further than the Nuggets, tbh.

Can't wait to see Tim coaching. I really missed him these last years.

And then, a breather. The Spurs didn’t add any significant players this summer and instead spent the months locking in the most important figure in club history: Popovich.

Maybe the Author hasn't heard of Tim Duncan. Somebody should tell him.

I'd bet the veteran core of Aldridge, DeRozan, Gay, and Carroll guarantees the Spurs 38-40 wins, and whatever White, Murray, Walker, Poeltl, and Lyles can add determines whether they win 45 or 55. I personally expect growth from all three young guards, so I'm pretty optimistic that 50 wins is reasonable. Lyles is the least spoken about/biggest wild card: if he's able to recover his 3pt% and overall shooting efficiency from two years ago, he'd be a great weapon as a small ball center.

I like Derrick.

Murray will dribble on his foot, and shoot like he has small underwear instead of a basketball in his hands, but will pull some defensive stops and dunks so everybody will love him.

Through it all, without the usual names that won multiple championships, the season served to amplify Pop’s ability to adjust as a coach, as if anyone needed proof of that, and extend the franchise’s reputation for excellence, which is approaching three decades now.

guess he's unaware of all the coaching geniuses in ST who could do so much better.
