When Jabari Young was covering Portland for NBC Sports Northwest in 2014-15 he supported LMA's departure and fans couldn't handle it.
When he supported Kawhi's decision, most Spurs fans hated him.
I guess he has some pro-player empowerment movement view that's hard for fans to understand.

The best was when this guy started yelling at his podcast cohost when he respectfully disagreed about Kawhi and his "thank you letter." If there was any doubt that this guy was a certified nutsack holder for kawhitter, this podcast settled that.
I'm a Spurs podcast addict so I listen to a lot of different ones. Spurs Insider Podcast came out with the Kawhi "thank you" letter pod, and Jabari went off. This guy is such a nephew ball fondler. When his co-host disagreed with him, he was furious. If you want to hear Young yell from frustration,this is for you. Funniest part is that Young, after clearly being biased for Kawhi, claimed he was "neutral." If your anti-Kawhi, listen for Young getting pissed, and also discussions about Spurs schedule, some stuff on Derrick White, and lineup opinions. If your a player fan aka pro-Kawhi, listen to Young passionate defend Kawhi's camp.

Today's social media has changed all of that, but "team" loyalty used to be all that existed. I love to see fans be rabid about their hometown team. The boo-birds raining down on KL were awesome during last year's home game. That's the way it's supposed to be. Players are transforming into giant prima donna pu$$ies, and so is some of the media, apparently.

He's right, I'm a Spurs fan. I don't support everything Pop does or says but in a sense he's part of the city/Spurs family. I'll take the team's side every time and if they're wrong I'll call them out on it but being a player fan has frontrunner all over it.

I agree. And he was one of the main people I could follow to get snippets of what was going on in practice and after game interviews when they weren’t immediately accessible. And he actually asked Pop several questions while everyone else was shaking in their boots because they didn’t want the backlash.
