Just started this last night. 30 minute episodes (20 with no commercials). About an enforcer in the Australian underworld who's also trying to live a somewhat normal life.
Not a comedy per se but it's got some very funny moments and situations.

A good analogy is an Australian dark version of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Or maybe 30 minute Tarantino clips.

For a 30 minute show, it's 10/10.

You'll know after the first episode if it's your thing or not.

Yeah his sessions in court ordered anger management group therapy are gold.

That and the situations he gets in with Gary. I was hooked after the first episode when he has to go take the blame for Gary's porn video. Which of course was worse than Gary let on.

Sucks that the season's are so short.

I got out after Season 3 or 4. Seemed like it was getting redundant. Does it pick back up?

I've actually picked it up myself after starting it a few years ago and dropping it. I've only seen up to season 3 but started over to refresh my memory and it was a good thing I did because I didn't remember half of thius stuff.

I'm a bit annoyed at myself though. I went to IMDB to check out basic info on the show and saw that the main guy either leaves or dies in the show because I saw he's only credited up to season 4.

It's a downer knowing that one of the main character leaves the show while its still on. Annoyed, like I said.

Maybe I'll get back to it. He was part of why it started to seem repetitive. He was basically invincible. And any battle he was in, seemed like it was a given they'd win.
IDK...I hate trying to get back to a show after not watching for a while.

Any of you have issues understanding anything anyone is saying in this? :lol

I've been enjoying it.. such an easy watch. We miss the mark on TV shows usually but this seems to be an exception

That’s what I really like about it. Being an easy watch. So many shows drag shit out to fill the 45 minutes needed to fill an hour slot.

And I pretty much watch any foreign English speaking show with subtitles.

I like it just keeps it fucking simple and it works. Some shows try to do too much and as you say, drag it out.

And that is probably smart... some bloody ocka cunts in Mr Inbetween

Sort of. For some reason, the stream I was watching (DirecTV Now) cut off before the credits ran. He saw his ex in the store, got in his car, and then it stopped. Looked like I may have missed something. I’m gonna check it again in a day or so and see if it’s corrected. May have to buy the episode from Amazon if not. Season 2 is a little heavier than 1 which isn’t a bad thing. Also, I thought there were only going to be 7 episodes but I just saw there’s at least 8. They really have done a great job with this show. Great acting and story. Maybe my favorite thing on right now.

Try pirate bay mate. Its always reliable. And yeah I like the heaviness. Aussie films are always super dark and gritty so I'm down for that

Well...I didn’t find the Wiggles to be very dark. I did like Top of the Lake. Any recommendations for crime shows?

Nah, not really. Aussie shows generally suck. We are better at dark films which I can definitely give recommendations for

That Australian show where Hitler is on an island and trying to take over the world using augmented Nazi dinosaurs is hilarious.
