Finley's balls are made of solid gold.

Getting Finley this offseason basically won us the game tonight. This is a game we could have easily lost. Denver looked good and they will be one of the best teams in the West (if they can stay healthy). Our defense did not look good until the last 5:00 of the game. That being said we still won by 11. Our depth IS scary.

Ginobili needs to heal up.

Bowen needs to show up. (and start shooting some 3 point attempts)

Again, our defense needs work.

The first 3 1/2 quarters were like a preseason game. The Spurs didn't look like themselves. But they finally showed up in the 4th.

Where's GW?

Having guys like Finley coming off the bench and working for our franchise will win us games that we've let slip in the past.

Timmy looked downright scary out there. 19 pts 10 rebs 6 ast 4 blocks in his first game. Knowing that he generally starts slowly, that should strike fear in the rest of the league.

We also got a glimpse of what Parker could be with a consistent J. He was on fire tonight. If he gets a consistent J, then it doesn't matter who we picked up this season. Our best signing might just turn out to be Chip Engeland.

TImmy gets a haircut midseason and elevates! What is up with Chia-Tim? I still love the guy, but hmmmm

Even though Manu was hurt he still sealed the game down the stretch as always. Plus, defensively he was a monster down the stretch.

Tony looked great to me.

I remember the playoff games like yesterday and the team is nowhere near that level.

Scary thought.

I was able to see part of the 3rd and all of the 4th tonight (tied at 69 when I got to hotel). I learned that the Spurs matchup zone they ran for 3 or 4 straight trips was the best I've seen them run it, even though they did allow one long jumper by Dermarr Johnson over it. That zone stalled out the Nuggets' flow and the Spurs pulled away on Finley and TP's scoring.

That's something a bandwagoneer would say..

We have a victory and people find some way to cry...

i learned that:

TD is playing again 38 minutes. He was just ave 35 last season.

Our centers shared a total 33 minutes(?) :rolleyes

and Finley played just 28 min finishing with 16 pts(7-10); 5 rbds.

Mike Finley could earn Tim Duncan his next MVP if he'll continue to shoot well from Duncan's feeds

and;

the Spurs looks good from the FT line.

Oberto 6 pts(3-4); 4 rbds in just 14 min. of play.

Scary:cry

I see NVE getting minutes man. He just pops a three and then does this crazy floater thing. Finley, Oberto, and NVE are new to the system, yet they functioned in it beyond my expectations.

The only thing holding the Spurs back is that we are TOO deep. Pop will be too confused on who to play.

What about Rasho is a monster with 2pts 2rbs and 1to in 10min of play WOW!!!!!!

I think our offense could be the one of the best, once we start clicking.

DEFENSE is the key. I want to shut teams down. We need some work on that with these new guys.

Go Spurs!! Defense!!

I learned that the Spurs can play with almost no offensive rythm, and still totally outclass a top 10 team in the NBA.

I learned that Michael Finley is going to be able to hit the open jumpers that Brent Barry loves to pass up.

I learned that Nick the Quick is still capable of instant offense.

I learned that Obi can't jump for shit.

I learned that Timmy can still carry our offense when needed.

I learned that Tony's jumper is completely different.

I learned that barring injury (knock on wood) the Spurs are too deep for any other team in the league.

I learned that Obi can't jump for shit.

Agreed, I think Jack Haley had more of a verticle.

I learned that its too early to get too excited or too down on players.

I learned that when give the ball, Nesterovic drove it right to the hole, and when missed, pushed Marcus Camby out of the way for the rebound, and has added a nice fallaway jumper.

I learned that Michael Finley is the best signing since Robert Horry.

I learned that X is still a cold blooded fucker.

Manu has no lift because he can't push off his right leg.

Oberto can't jump or has bad timing.

Finley is ruthless and hungry.

Tony looked good on both ends of the floor.

Timmy D is Timmy D.

The Spurs are DEEP!!!!!!!!!!

Both.

I was totally unimpressed tonight. I didn't see this "Great" game that he played, mustve been another.

He could be a worse defensive center than Nazr.
