I used to laugh and mock teams who played like the spurs play now :cry

Remember when we played the T Wolves and the only question would be how bad was Kawhi going to embarass Wiggins this time :cry

My all time favorite coach turning into a senile old man who is going against the grain just because :cry

I wonder how many times he is called Timmy Tony...or how many times Timmy has had to say "You can't put manu in pop he doesn't play on this team anymore":cry

We traded Kawhi Leonard for the hope that Keldon Johnson will be a good nba player :cry

Dang bro and you were one of the optimists on here
bro i been an optimist for the long time ... but i ain't defending the no effort soft team man. this ain't the big three. i had fun defending winners when people were crying way out of nowhere. this is not that. we got demar lma and the writing is on the wall. people wasted a lot of good years cliff jumping and crying when we had one of the greatest runs of all sports. i understood that and enjoyed that. this just sucks now man. this ain't no big three

Can we get a draft thread going?

We need mods to allow one it’s going to be a long season can’t keep reading “Pop needs to retire, Beli can’t shoot or guard, Forbes can’t guard, trade DEROZZ and LMA”.

i could defend a lottery team or any team with heart and played with effort. these guys ain't respecting the game or the city. just rolled over tonight. gah lee i'm salivating over this Orlando trade inquiry. I'd take Gordon and Aminu in a heart beat. They would bring versatility on Defense. The more I see the league I'm beginning to believe the best place to have elite defenders is on the wing. Gordon and Aminu would cover a lot and Demar would be addition by subtraction. Give beli too if possible. Apparently they are desperate for three.

This was Murray's 10th game. Minutes restriction is done going forward. The optimist in me hopes that he was taking a look at the Murray-White combot that he plans on using a lot more going forward.

Probably not though.

As sad as our offensive schemes are, we are still putting up points. But because we consistently can't get stops, it just means during our offensive droughts, we always are behind.

Exactly. The offense isn’t the problem, no matter how awful it looks. It’s the defense x100.

i don't think pop can afford to make him earn it now. we are looking like a lottery team right now. How much losing before the fire sale and developing the youth. I'm not rooting for us to lose but let's put it this way every game is a win win for me. We lose than changes must be made. We win than that's good.

FkLA

I have no idea what he has against the youth.

He's a Larry Brown disciple. That's just how those dudes are. Brown preferred bronze over playing young LeGOAT, Wade, and Melo alonngside Timmy.

11-13-2019, 10:34 PM
Pop should take a hard look at the approach at game 20. I suspect the Spurs will be 8-12 on the road to nowhere. This team has no shot at the playoffs. None - even now. If your key players can't shoot and can't defend at a high level - time is being wasted.

This crap that is being foisted on the fan base now is just a joke.

Yeah I changed my mind. Maybe if the young guys were given the keys last year, then adjustments would help.

But the roster makeup plus still continuing to run on the two softest losers in the league means this team is beyond repair.

Our starting five consists of:
1) still young PG coming off major leg injury
2) a minimum salary undrafted/undersized SG
3) the only swingman in all of creation that won't shoot a 3pt
4) A still pretty good NBA player whose motivation doesn't match his talent
5) A young cast off and minimum salary player

Face it most of the issues here is talent. I think we're just not very good.

Have drafted late and perhaps there’s not a future star in the bunch. Difficult to know when they don’t play through mistakes and develop, and if there isn’t star, have to go fishing in the draft old school style. Lotto pick would help.

The beginning of the end was signing LMA. Then there was Fitty Mills and Pau. Then the Dumbmar acquisition was pretty much the nail in the coffin. When you tie up big money in the likes of those guys, you are pretty much sunk.

I've been trying to be positive with the fact that it's still too early to call it a season but this recent play is troubling and it's apparent we need to make some serious changes. Unfortunately, that's just not how PATFO operate but hopefully something can be worked out.

Depends on what you mean by fix.

Let's not forget last year's team also started off looking like absolute shit, including back to back 30 point losses (one of them being to Minny IIRC). Derrick White's emergence alone was able to help the team become respectable. There's no reason why more White, Murray, Lonnie, Carroll and less pets wouldn't have an even bigger impact.

Disagree the begining of the end was when Kawhi left. LA and kawhie in the wcf were balling as well as dominant before the zazza effect . That season we had 60 plus wins with second best record. Memories damn

But somehow Poeltl has the best netrating of all Spurs scrubs. So the black scrubs suck even more?

So when will Pop decide to change line ups? :lmao I bet his first move is to start Poeltl and have Forbes out there as the only 3-point shooter

Spurs shot 3/17 from 3. You think teams are afraid of the Spurs 3-point-shooters *rofl*

He's been dominant on the glass, has decent vision & good enough defense to be a rotation player. He hasn't shown that in either of his previous stops.

Very wrong... His defense is bad, and his vision is non-existent... Being afraid to shoot so u pass off the ball isn't the same as being a playmaker

Trey Lyles has been the biggest bright spot of the season. Seriously.

U can't be fucking serious... The guy has zero impact on the court... Even his rebounding which gets the most praise is a product of Murray playing low minutes, and LMA sucking... Everyone else is midgets, so who else will grab them? As soon as he gets any opposing competition for the rebounds, he gets bitched (like VS Minnesota)... The guy is a low IQ defensive player and does nothing on offense... U usually never know he is out there...

RC_Drunkford

Ice009
11-14-2019, 10:11 PM
I think I'd rather start Derrick White, also I'd consider starting Rudy Gay at PF or Demarre Carroll at PF. The starting lineup is trash. Forbes needs to go to the bench.
