Thanks for the update!

He's fine and will be back!

Honestly we should have him start at Point Guard and DJM at shooting guard.

White fell on his left hip against the Lakers. It was a hard fall. Hope he is OK.

i think that's the reason why pop hasn't been playing White for more than 30 mins a game. didn't he have the same foot injury last season? i hope its not a recurring injury.

Plantar fasciitis again?

timvp

Plantar fasciitis again?

Yeah, that's my fear. If White has a plantar fasciitis flareup again after barely playing this season, that's a really bad sign. He'd have to be on a minutes restriction in perpetuity.

Let's hope it's a different (minor) injury. And let's hope he's back before Saturday's game since Murray is likely to sit that game.

If it's PF, he did play / train with the select team and Team USA, after last year's lengthy playoff run. Plus we're pretty much tanking anyway so wgaf tbh

He did get his ankles broken twice yesterday tbh.

Luka left him broken tbh

Do you have any hope that this is anything but a lost season with how bad this team has looked ever since the preseason? Might as well be super conservative and bring on the tank if the Spurs don't turn things around soon.

More reason to bring on the tank.

No. He can get over plantar fasciitis. He would not be on minutes restriction in perpetuity.

Alright, not in actual perpetuity but probably for the rest of the season.

The Spurs were getting curbstomped this time last year, tbh. Those games were over at halftime. These recent losses are tame by that measure.

We definitely began to right the ship in December. I would argue that 'after hardly playing this season' is a stretch because this basketball thing in even in small doses (plus the national team) is hard on the feet! :)

should just tank for high lottery pick

trade dd and lma for picks, cant have them here next season stunting young players growth, both are scrubs now with nothing to offer

Derrick hasn't looked right all season long. Players need time to get healthy and he had little time off in the last 12 month. I suppose the one round playoff season is it.

I’m hoping and praying dog that this leads to something unintended with Lonnie in particular getting run and showing well and maybe Keldon too forcing pop to abandon Beli. Also Carroll.

And of course Pop will surely play any of those guys with Murray, even though he refused play him with White.

Oh, Great God of Tanking, we beseech thee.

We just need be willing to do thee.

What difference does that make? The Spurs ain't winning games anyway. They could start all 3 rookies, Lonnie Walker and Metu and the results would still be the same

I don’t know - NO is pretty fun to watch and they are losing. Wait until Zion gets back too.

We should be so lucky.

A bad injury to DeRozan or LMA would be devastating. SA needs to optimize their chances at drafting/rebuilding if they are to choose that direction. Losing LMA and/or DeRozan for nothing would hurt that. SA can’t just lose them for nothing. If all they can get is a bad contract, ok Then just let them go, but I dont think that is the case.

I haven't looked too closely at the draft class, but I am pretty certain there ain't no Tim Duncan available. So, not THAT lucky.

I just meant the resulting high pick, tbh.

Can’t see us beating the 76ers with or without White the way we’ve been playing. Wonder if Pop will continue with Mills/Forbes backcourt.

Welp.

With Murray out tomorrow night against the Knicks, perhaps the Spurs are just making sure White will be available for that game.

The fact that he was listed as questionable is a good sign that White shouldn't be out long.

That’s how I took it. They know tonight is likely a loss, so why rush him back. If the goal is to win the more winnable game, then I’d rather have White fully rested for NY as that is a winnable game (for normal teams)
