I would like to see DeRozan playing SG with Carroll, Gay and Lyles in the frontcourt.

Right after he played physical. 34 year old is 34
Griffin and Drummond will be a lot to handle even with LMA.

Good game to sit out if you’re LMA

Neither Gay nor Lyles is a true center even in today's NBA. Drummond and Griffin would kill us down low.

So there is a chance Poeltl finally gets minutes he deserves. yeah.

Considering it's on the road, the Pistons are 2 games worse than their expected record and Griffin just called them out, this was probably going to be a loss anyway. Now, without Aldridge to box out, Drummond will bludgeon them and could end up with a 25-30 rebound game.

The beneficiaries here, are Poeltl and Eubanks. Metu is the only other player who can play center and he's out too.

True? They're not centers period.

Exactly. It blows my mind when I see LMA listed as PF and Lyles as C.

They did it for Duncan when he started alongside stretch fours/big wings, too. It makes a lot of veteran players feel better if they're listed down a position because of this archaic, misguided notion that the lower the position, the more skilled you're considered.
If it makes Aldridge feel better to pretend he's not the center, whatever; it's a minor concession to make to attempt to appease him. We all know he's playing it unless they start Poeltl, in which case he really get's to pretend for the first 5-6 minutes of each half.

More playing time for Metu hopefully, but it's doubtful.
Hoping he's being held out due to a trade.

He failed his physical. The trade with Charlotte is off. Someone needs to start a safe space thread.

Training. Injuries are not limited to happen in a game. It can literaly happen when try to step out the bath.

You really want this tank job to go full tilt, huh? Any Aldridge trade is a short-term downgrade, and Metu is just plain terrible.

I'm so sick of seeing the Rockets force LMA to switch on Harden that I'm almost glad he's out (even if the Spurs meager chances go down even more).
Lonnie Walker is iffy too.

Not the reason Duncan had them do it. There are two starting All Star forwards per conference, but only one center. Better odds.

Right, because we all know how much Duncan cared about individual accolades.
