I understand the odds aren't good at all, but I have been playing for 10 years... Usually buy one $5 ticket a week, and the most I have ever won on one single scratcher is $60.

Doesn't make any sense... Even at casino slots you get an occasional $100, $200, $300 win off a penny slot.

Any one else win over $100?

I won 4k on a 5 dollar mega a decade ago, tbh. One number away from like 200m :lol

Don't buy tix anymore unless it's like 500m. I'm happy with my finances so not too interested.

i'm no gambling man except when i was 7 yrs old... lol!

i went to a spurs game, had my chore money in hand, and bought a catalog(i can't remember what they're actually called) for the game and ended up winning a spurs dufflebag & 2 box's of skybox cards.

although i don't play the lotto i know quite a few lucky friends of mine who have hit some big numbers; i wonder what their ratio is of winning to losing over the years.

Many better ways to spend $5 than on a worthless piece of paper. Like those steak beef jerkys they only sell at gas stations.

I’ll usually buy about 3 scratch offs a year. But it’s all within the same week because I’ll get an itch. Then after 3 duds, I remember why I don’t waste my money on them.

I never buy the mega lottery stuff unless it’s an office pool after it hits the $100 million numbers. I don’t want to be the only guy chose $5 over 10 million and have to show up the next day. :lol

Tax on mathematically challenged folk. Put 5 a week in an acct. 10 years you have over 2500.00. If you hit that much once you would likely feel justified in playing.

So...scratch a date with your mom per week and I'll have enough for a late model used car with 150k miles after just ten years??

That’s not really the point for all lottery players. There’s some enjoyment and anticipation to buying a $1 ticket with the chance of winning multi millions. And there’s very little disappointment when you don’t. Easily worth a few dollars here and there.

I'd have probably lost less money on scratchers than the stock market this year, tbh. But then again, my picks probably represent a stupid tax.
