Worst Coach of the Year
He starts off the year placing DeRozan at the 3 when he showed all of last year that he can't play that position. DeRozan has always been a bad defender, but that is especially highlighted when he is forced to guard bigger wings. White being benched. We know that Forbes is the worst defender in the league, but we somehow played almost decent defense on the floor when he was paired with White and DeRozan starting last year. Murray isn't guarding the opposing wings he is guarding his position which means Forbes has to guard out of position and so does Demar. Benching White has ruined the chemistry that last year's starters built. We are beyond horrible on defense this year.
Another gem was DJ apparently taking the benching hard when he should never have started to begin with. Day 1, White should've started over DJ while the latter learned how to play basketball again and get some rust out.
Marco over Lonnie has been discussed to death and everybody basically agrees that Lonnie started off passive, but took Pop's criticism to heart. However, we are all wondering if maybe he didn't take the criticism to heart like 5 games ago... Also did anybody notice Pop was going to take him out in the 4th but Walker was shooting free throws so he couldn't?
Why start Lyles? Didn't make any sense. Either start Poetl or Gay but not Lyles.
