View Full Version : Is DeRozan the only Spur All-Star possibility?

LMA seems to be taking a small step back this year. DeRozan has been shining lately. Obviously the Spurs will have to keep winning games. Looks like it’ll be him or nobody. I can’t remember the last time the Spurs didn’t have a selection. Probably the year before TD.

Yeah, LMA's slow start has probably taken him out of the race.

Even DeMar is a looooong shot. There are just too many talented guards in the West.

Harden, Lillard, Westbrook, Booker, Mitchell, McCollum are all ahead of DeRozan. Maybe even Lou Williams, Jamal Murray, and CP3. Not a good outlook for DeRozan imo.

No all stars for the spurs this year. Our record isn't strong enough, too much talent in the west.

If the Spurs are to have an all-star, who isn't just a pity pick, he'd better come on strong and fast.

Agreed. And even if LMA were playing well our record and the talent at forward/center in the West now is brutal. LeBron, AD, Luka, Kawhi, Paul George, Joker, KAT

All Star Game sucks anyways.

The last few years, even the Spurs who made it would get like 10 minutes and score 5 points. :jack

I think it’s unlikely. Derozan doesn’t get the superstar calls he used to get in Toronto and therefore won’t have the stats needed to make the selection to the game

Spurs aren't even in the playoffs if they started today. They don't deserve an all star at this point.

I’m still thinking if the Spurs get to .500 that won’t matter. I would think Harden, Luka get the start with Lillard being a lock reserve. After that it’s really a group lumped together.

Dumbmar has no chance. And I am torn. If he got to the ASG, it might increase his trade value. But at the some time, it would probably make Pop more determined to hang on to him.

Probably over Westbrook, as of late. But most, except the Blazers, have better record than the Spurs.

Derozan would be the most deserving but because of their slow start and like Dex said all the talent out West, there won’t be a Spur there this year.

It’s more realistic to see Forbes make the 3 point shootout than to expect an all star from our team.

I still could see DDR making it with the last injury exception. Funny to see if Kawhi picks him.
