What do you guys think? Did Elway finally get it right? Sure seems like it....kid plays with poise and has a rifle. I’m amazed at how much more enjoyable watching my team is with a competent quarterback playing.

why didn't they start him week 1? they could have a chance at a playoff birth. at least finished off the packers/vikings when they had them on the ropes. argh

I think a LOT of expert analysts had Lock ranked as the best QB in the draft, ahead of the jamarcus russell clone, Daniel Fumbles, and the gimmicky 5'6" baseball kid

HarlemHeat37 Malik Hairston (https://www.spurstalk.com/forums/member.php?u=18403) what's your take?

its 1 game but he looked solid. we knew he had great arm talent. his issues in college were consistency, decision making, etc. basically the last guy you want to judge on a single performance.

but obviously a very promising start. he looked quasi mahomes-esque

Lock has the most talent out of every quarterback this past draft. The problem was in college he was expected to carry a crappy program and he couldn’t. He did make them semi respectable though. Lock can’t carry a team yet obviously but he makes the defensive guys feel like the offense has a chance to score and that might be enough for Denver
