To no one's surprise our TD is one of the finalists for the upcoming Basketball HOF.

The four "big names" that will go in this class are Duncan, Kobe, KG, and likely Bosh.

As per usual, ESPN manages to mention everyone's titles but Duncan's. Guess he didn't ring.

The class, though, will be led by the four stars at the top of it.Bryant spent his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers (https://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/lal/los-angeles-lakers), partnering first with Shaquille O'Neal (https://www.espn.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/614/shaquille-oneal) and then Pau Gasol (https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/996/pau-gasol) to claim five titles and reach seven NBA Finals, all while becoming one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history.

Duncan also spent his entire career with a single franchise, playing 19 seasons for the San Antonio Spurs (https://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/sa/san-antonio-spurs) under coach Gregg Popovich and alongside David Robinson, Tony Parker (https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/1015/tony-parker), Manu Ginobili (https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/272/manu-ginobili) and Kawhi Leonard (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/6450/kawhi-leonard).

Garnett, meanwhile, helped usher in the current era of the NBA by agreeing in the summer of 2007 to join Ray Allen (https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/9/ray-allen) and Paul Pierce (https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/662/paul-pierce) with the Boston Celtics (https://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/bos/boston-celtics) after spending the first 12 years of his career playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves (https://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/min/minnesota-timberwolves).

The Celtics would go on to win the NBA title in 2008 and reach the NBA Finals in 2010, where they lost in seven games to Bryant and the Lakers. Their dominance over the Eastern Conference then helped spur Bosh, LeBron James (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/1966/lebron-james) and Dwyane Wade (https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/1987/dwyane-wade) to play together with the Miami Heat (https://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/mia/miami-heat) starting in 2010.

After winning two titles and reaching the NBA Finals each of the next four seasons with the Heat, Bosh saw his career derailed by recurring issues with blood clots, forcing him to retire in 2016 while still at the peak of his game.

No shit. How is Bosh a finalist in his first year and Webber not? Bosh was never as good a player as Webber.

As soon as I saw Duncan retire, and that he and Kobe would be in the same inductee class, I knew the focus would be on Kobe and not Tim for this year's HOF class. I don't think Tim really cares, but he deserves better than to be Kobe's second fiddle at this thing.

Mainly for being associated with "The Heatles" and having 2 rings and more All-Star appearances than C-Webb, who's more infamous for his choking than famous, tbh.

He definitely doesn't care. But we, his fans, do. At this point, its all about media recognition and talk. And I want the youngins to understand what a true legend Duncan was. But with the way BSPN, Duncan will be just another big man who played in the league lol

This.

Five championships, 3 FMVPS, 2 MVPs, a record number of all-defensive selections, never missed the playoffs (unlike the other 3) and their article has the least on him. Apparently, the only thing noteworthy was he played with Manu, Tony, David and Kawhi and for Pop.:jack

Duncan owes it all to Pop. It wouldn't be fair to give him the credit.

I can't really consider getting two rings because you played with LeBron and Wade a bigger accomplishment than Webber being the best player on a pretty legendary 2002 Kings team that while they didn't win, is arguably the greatest team to not win a title. Bosh was a far superior defender, but Webber is one of the greatest passing bigmen to ever live and was the engine of that 02 Kings team in a way Bosh never was on a good team.

LMA will be one, without question.

He likely surpasses 20K at the very end of this season, his 14th season. He's maintained solid scoring and efficiency (actually having his best percentages in a few categories in his Spurs years)

He likely jumps into top 40 scorers all time, passing even Gervin and Robinson by end of next year. If he plays longer, he only climbs a bit higher.

He will exceed 9000 boards most likely as well. He will have over 1200 blocks. And over 2000 assists.

To date, only 2 players that broke 20K have not been inducted into the HOF.

Tom Chambers who played 16 seasons and Antawn Jamison who played 16 years.

Aldridge will end higher in points, rebounds, and assists than both of those 2 players, among many other statistical categories.

He is a far better defender and more efficient scorer with better plus/minus numbers than either of those 2.

In short, there is no way he is left out.

Bosh was arguably the biggest reason LeBron even has a ring in miami. It goes both ways. If not for bosh, lebron would have 1 title.

Take into consideration bosh is an 11x all star. Potentially would be 15x all star had he not retired prematurely.

So yeah career wise, bosh had a better career.

bosh made all star teams in an era that the big man was disappearing. Webber for years had to share votes with KG, Dirk and Duncan. How many all star games does Bosh make in the West in Webber’s place?

I would say the rings get Bosh in without them he don’t deserve it. My point is he shouldn’t be up there with TD, Kobester, KG as a first ballot
