It has to be DD, because he's off contract. I think the Hornets are the most likely destination if they're after a 1st rounder: they've got Batum's contract with another year which would guarantee a 1st rounder & possibly a 2nd rounder as well. They've also got Marvin Williams, Kidd-Gilchrist & Biyombo's expiring to match salaries if they want to give up a 1st for DD.

Belinelli doesn't need to be traded. He just needs to go to the bench. Pop has presumably tried playing him in an effort to up his trade value, but there's no way he's considered a positive asset by other teams. Unless he's used as a salary filler in a bigger trade, I don't see a need to move him - unlike DD or LMA, who actively hurt the team as their "star" status guarantees them touches and minutes. Just gotta get through Pop's thick fucking skull that Marco is washed up...

Agree with this pretty much, but LMA is ahead of Gay for me. Trade everything. I'd keep Mills over Gay if we keep a "veteran" for the room. Also, because Mills' contract is trash.

It all depends on style of play. I don't even think this team is bad, it's just that Forbes and Belinelli should not get any minutes and this team would be fine.

Teams don't usually trade players at the same position. That's why you trade LMA and Dumbmar at the same time. You trade Dumbmar for a serviceable big and LMA for a decent 3 and D SF.

If the team blows it up, trade both Demar and LMA.

I like Jakob, but he definitely isn’t untouchable and his game doesn’t fit today’s NBA. And I want to see if Luka develops into anything special, but we know he’s getting the “get over yourself” treatment until his 3rd year at least like Pop has done with Lonnie. So yeah for sure, it’s a roster full of loser or has been vets, and all of them are in the rotation to top it off.

This franchise would be better off if the nba treated them like an expansion team in the offseason and let them do an expansion draft. That’s how bad this roster is.

everyone on this team is tradable. Would prefer to keep white/Walker/Murray but understand that we’ll have to attach them in trades in order to get rid of the others. At first I didn’t want to do that but I don’t care anymore.

It is clear that LaMarcus has to go, the problem is that without him we prob don't make the playoffs. Now, I think we have a chance and this year be will beat the Nuggets or HOU in round 1. Derrick was not 100% neither is DJ, Sean Elliot said it's probably around Feb before we see DJ at 100%.


But if we get a top3 protected first from someone like the Bulls (projected top10) and Lauri Markkanen I would be happy :)

I agree with this...of all players Gay looks the one that really has lost some steps at the point to not be that good anymore. That's weird and imho more a sort of too much relaxing in the summer instead of training like he should have done...that said the problem, at least in the nba trade machine, is that Gay looks not treadable until 15 of january...frankly I don't understand why, considering that, if I remember correctly, he signed an extension in mid summer (august?) so the three months time should be already expired and he should then be already treadable...

Pop is done very soon - he is on the Jerry Sloan train right now. A selfish star player rebukes Sloan (Deron Williams) and it all goes down the toilet.

The Spurs will keep Walker because someone else will be coaching the team soon.

Pop was a fine coach for a very long time, but a page needs to be turned.

Frankly, there’s no trade that makes sense for the Spurs. They would have to wait for some fire sale by another team before they could get close to 75c on the dollar for LMA and/or DDR. DeRozans contract ends this year and I don’t see him opting in. We don’t need to trade him tbh. Forbes needs to be traded bc that’s the only way Pop isn’t going to play him. 76ers are a good trading partner there. I think picking up LMAs extra year made him more tradeable. He’s probably last on the list in Pops eyes but I can see him requesting a trade. Boston makes a lot of sense
