Nah, it would've been a toss-up. Seacucks match up well with the Niners (Struggle has little trouble with the Niners' pass rush). Divisional playoff games are generally close due to familiarity as well.

remember, when they last played, SF was banged up. This week they had a front line of Bosa, Armstead, DeForest Buckner, Dee Ford, Kwon Alexander, Fred Warner, Tartt was back, etc. Struggle didn't have to face all that.
In fact, the guy who made the game-saving goal line tackle, Greenlaw, was a backup.

They were less banged up when they played in SF and the Seacucks won, albeit Gould was out and they lost due to their replacement kicker choking. Regardless, Minny was a much easier matchup.

Seattle doesn't get a lot of calls, in fact they are heavily penalized. What sucks about Seattle is the ball seems to always bounce or roll their way. Russell is so damn slippery and never seems to go down. Their scrub WRs seem to find a way to get open and make insane catches. Very frustrating indeed...

Metcalf isn't a scrub really. Put Metcalf and Lockett on the Pats and the Pats are still in the playoffs. But their run game made them go, and they lost all 3 of their RBs. But they're just annoying af personality wise. Clowney is dirty, their coach is a well known dirty scumbag, etc. They're the most punchable faces since the Backstreet Boys

He used to be a good coach. You have to adapt and evolve with the game like Belichick and Andy Reid have done. Or at least have creative coordinators. Cowboys are lucky that McCarthy flamed out and the Packers have done well this year IMO, it'll fuel him to evolve.
Seahawks run the weakest style of offense, they essentially waste a half every game by trying to establish the run. Especially with a dead-ass Marshawn Lynch, just dumb:lol

which starts with containing the run though... to force him into 3rd and long situations where he has to make clean reads. if the run gets going and he's dealing with 3rds and 1, they can do all their misdirection/bootleg stuff which gives him very easy throws to guys like kittle/deebo on shallow crosses that become big gainers

Hard to see that happening with the SF run game. Much quicker backs than Seattle and the extra blocker with Juszczyk. Not to mention more dynamic play calling.

49ers -7 is too low, they should be -10. Maybe GB's defense can slow down SF, but what is their offense going to do? They don't have much talent or speed and that SF pass rush has only been negated by mobile QBs like Wilson and Murray.

It's only that way this year because there is a West Coast host to one of the games. They don't want viewers on the East Coast staying up till midnight watching a prime championship game.
I just could only imagine what would happen if both hosts of the championship game were on the West coast... say SF and the Chargers for example. At that point they'd have to move the first game back. Or move one of the games to Saturday.

You know what else has been around for a long time? 10 AM PT start dates, all 17 weeks a year. Heck, if your team is playing in London, it's 7 AM PT.
The NFL's start times for the championship games are designed in a utilitarian fashion. The greatest amount of people get to see both games in the most optimal time windows. Nobody has to get up before Noon or stay up past 10 PM their local time to watch both games. It's the best for everyone.

He did have 2 fourth quarter interceptions, 1 was a bad throw, and the other was a legendary hall of fame corner just making a play... (happy to have him now??)
