Or you don't get to compete.

And if you do it after you've competed and won a medal, the medal gets stripped like Lance Armstrong

No one cares. They can posture, gesture, sequester... whatever. Don't give a shit. All that matters is the medal.

Hope Pop does it to trigger the snowflakes Trumptard snowflakes, though that would require leading the team to a medal first.

this is the kind of shit thats just going to motivate more people to do it. just like the NFL's anthem kneeling. it was like 2 people doing it until conservatives blew a gasket and trump started talking about it. then it became a whole movement

or maybe their social consciousness in these cases is related to free speech and not bowing to an inflammatory strongman

When your social conscience is evoked by a person you dont like, you've been trolled.

Whatever the case, its disingenuous when it has to be prompted.

Altruism isnt solicited. It's natural. If someone is going to be prodded and provoked into something, its not the same. Its forced. Coerced. They were influenced.

It's a reason why I laugh at sycophancy and celebrity culture, especially those who disown and are repulsed by the "corporate" millionaires. Probably the most on-point thing Gervais said in his roast at the Emmys was about celebrity social conscience being a giant sham.

after the nfl players were attacked by trump, the rest of the league took a knee is a sign of solidarity against a dividing force. i dont see how thats being trolled or a sham. its a legitimate grievance which may or may not be exactly the same as the underlying reasons for the original protesters

nobody looks back at the montgomery bus boycott as bullshit just because rosa parks' arrest triggered it, even though the racial underpinnings had been there all along

Asking a question is whining now?

Seriously though wtf watches that crap show? The Olympics haven't been shit since the early 90s and when that swimmer pothead became a medalist(s).

I don't know if you're aware, but he's been diagnosed, yet refuses to take his meds. I used to feel the same way as you about him, but I've had a change of heart since that discovery. He needs to be back on his meds and talking to somebody all the time, don't want to see him hurt himself(and even worse, hurt others).
