This is already the 2nd Bernie staffer exposed for supporting gulags. And I'd expect many more in the future. Meanwhile as the communist gulag supporters flock to Bernie's campaign you'll hear nothing about the extremism from Bernie Sanders himself.

If you're so confident that Bernie has no chance and his socialist policies are crazy then why not support him in the primaries to go against Trump? Wouldn't you prefer a candidate who Trump will give an ass whooping to like you said earlier?

Or are you like Trump...scared?

Reed the asterisk. He thinks Sanders would lose to Trump.

Sorry about the loss btw. Not sure I’ve even fully taken it in. Something about a guy who you wahtced look invincible on a basketball court for 15+ years suddenly dying like that just seems surreal.

and it would be a landslide in the 35+ age category, aka the age group that actually votes in droves.

Trump would take back Virginia, and the other swing states except Colorado are just too moderate to vote for an openly socialist guy for U.S. President.

The rich don't pay their fair share of taxes. The poor don't pay taxes. It's the middle or working class that gets screwed. Personally, I think it should be the rich footing the bill. Let them pay for their Zionist wars.

This free shit meme is really tiring coming from the right. Bernie has been pretty clear peoples' taxes are going up to pay for Medicare For All if he can get it implemented. What could be a better example of "free shit" than the Reagan, Bush, and Trump tax cuts that kept blowing up the deficit and that younger taxpayers like SR21 are going to eventually be paying for?

USA will never have Medicare for All, no matter how many voters vote for politicians who promise to implement MfA

You People completely underestimate the $Bs that will be spent by BigInsurance/BigMedicine to block MfA.

They are too powerful, too wealthy, and own now and forever enough politicians to block it.

Americans are forever doomed to have their wealth/salaries sucked for $Ts for medical insurance and medical care, whose premiums and copays/co-insurance will rise faster than inflation

American are completely defenseless in face of the onslaught of the predatory, wealth-extractive, wealth-hoarding, all-powerful oligarchy.

The oligarchy lasses its ass off as Medicare for All other such For The People fantasies.

The middle class pays more dollars to tax revenue that the top 1%. They pay approximately 60% of total revenue. and yeah, Chump, thats where the money is.

Does that graph include Medicare and SS taxes, ie the two taxes the rich are basically exempt from paying?

The chart says INCOME TAX but you are just making my point even better. The middle class pays more SS and medicare tax (which just goes directly into general revenue) than billionaires.

And BTW, the top 1% isn't just the billionaires. Its anyone making over $421,000. You could take 100% of billionaires income and it wouldn't pay for all the free shit.

the top 75% - 99% are still middle class. Why exclude them?

pgardn
01-31-2020, 10:35 AM
I don’t know what middle class means in this context of taxes if 50% of all tax payers pay 97% .

This would seem to indicate we need to re label divisions as poor, upper class, ultra wealthy or something different.
If the bottom 50% of income tax payers pay only 3%... We got a tiny middle.

Id exclude them because I don’t consider an investment banker who makes several hundred thousand dollars a year as middle class :lol

Also, is the money counted as AGI really the only money the people on the top make in a year?

Just seems to easy to shell-game this whole thing, and the elephant in the room is that the nation as a whole hasn't been paying enough for all the free shit we've been getting.

Seems like half the board used to care about deficits and the debt until we got a white guy back in power.

If they aren't middle class and they aren't the 1% what do you call them? i know technically Pew Research defines middle class as 40K to 135K.

There's a lot of earning movement in that 9% though. 120K puts you in the top 10% while 300K puts you in the top 5%.

I'd consider 300K a year to be upper middle class but it depends on savings imo.

i guess without strict definitions its always subjective, but calling the top 5% upper middle seems weird imo

would you call someone in the 5th percentile lower middle class if they're earning something like 11k a year?

I consider "class" to be standard of living more than raw income. If someone had no income and had the lifestyle of a billionaire, I wouldn't call them lower class.

It does, obviously, because we're borrowing to cover for it. It's as much welfare as any other government handout.
