Quality thread. Probably a combination of Lyles and Aldridge. I don't think Gay has a chance and Poetl is too slow.

In all seriousness I think Aldridge does and does a decent job on him.

Luckily for the Spurs zion, likely wont play too much, 20 minutes maybe. I dont see anyone in the rotation able to handle his power and speed. It's a shame Chiemeze Metu has not gotten more playing time. I would have liked to see what he could have done. He has some quickness, and has gained some weight, and has a height advantage. I think he could hold his own, but I would say Poertl but lately he has been playing 10-15 minutes. So I guess Derrick White and Aldrige will be guarding him.

Just gotta go for his knees. With his weight, should cause a bad injury.

Lyles will guard him. And if things are going horrifically there is a slight chance that Carroll May guard him.

I expect Popovich to go with the Giannis strategy and assign Zion to Aldridge. Liles will be ok with Derrick Favors.

I´m more concerned about Brandon Ingram. I don't think DeRozan can guard him, Ingram is too long. DeJounte should take one of Ball or Holiday and our friend Forbes will be killed by the other, per par.

He hasn't played a single NBA game. These are the type guys Aldridge usually goes off on.

Williamson was born in Salisbury, North Carolina to Lateef Williamson and Sharonda Sampson.[131] Lateef was a football defensive lineman at Mayo High School in Darlington, South Carolina who was a 1993 High School All-American and had committed to NC State before transferring to Livingstone College.[3][131] Sampson was a sprinter at Livingstone and became a middle school health and physical education teacher.[131] She named Williamson after the biblical location Mount Zion near Jerusalem, taking her grandmother's advice to name him "something extra special"

oh you woke woke :bobo

thought that too. How come the next NBA superstars name is Zion when the Zionist agenda is in full effect? Do they really make some of those players in a laboratory?

Williamson was irrelevant in the first 3 periods, guarded by Liles when played the 4 and by Aldridge playing C in super-small-ball. In the 4th he hit a three vs zone defense and scored in the paint in transition against DeRozan; caught fire and made some 3pt shots when Poetl then Aldridge challenged to do it. His scoring run came with him playing as 5 and the Spurs could score relatively easy in that period.

Discussing Zion's matchup, that's something to consider in the next games vs Pelicans.

Your comment made me think of another touted rookie who got skooled by a Spurs great:

Anyone who questions Robinson's greatness needs to watch this. I imagine Zion would have puckered up like a little biotch had Prime David been covering him the night of his debut.
