The irony of this is that the Spurs would be doubly better without Forbes: both because of not having to account for his defensive (and offensive) shortcomings, which would greatly improve team defense, but also because the minutes of starting SG could go to either White or Lonnie, allowing them much more room to grow. Lonnie especially... Pop has made him so self conscious of his minutes and getting pulled, it's sad to watch. Especially for a young player, basketball is all about trying new things and making mistakes in the process to learn from them, and Walker looks scared of doing anything so as to not fuck up some games.
