Both. I mean, they should be both. Not likely they'll be either.

They can't be buyers unless they're sellers. And the big question is whether they would be doing something to try and salvage this season, or if they are finally serious about building for the future. It's a totally different equation.

But mostly RC is right, they aren't going to do shit. Again.

I think we should look to get value back for any player over age 30.

Probably sellers, I’d be thrilled if we got the 8th seed just for the record but Id consider trading everyone minus the youngins

Sell. The 23 straight playoff years is great. Long term, though, the Spurs need to establish a new identity with young players. With young players and experience, the team can become a real contender (hopefully). This current team is no threat to have a deep playoff run.

Not impressed with the youngins tbh. There are a ton of young players with similar skills all over the NBA.

I agree. We kinda see the NBA with silver and black lenses too often and think we have next big thing when we’ve really just got an above average (if that) young player. Our young guys have some cool skill sets but I wouldn’t label any untouchable at all. They’d be fun to watch grow up but not at the cost of Spurs delusion and turning down a good trade or giving up too much money.

The key to every deal is this: Whever you get a negative response from the other party that says they have a better price or deal, then your response is "Then I'll buy from you."

Yup. If someone is calling about DeRozan and they say “no, that price is too high”. You say “well, since we already have established DeRozan is the best player on both teams, I am willing to keep DeRozan and pay you that same asking price for your best player. If you truly think that price for DeRozan is too high, and I’m willing to pay you that price for a lesser player, it should be a no brainer decision”
