He's better than Metu though, like a lot better.

Not saying much, tbqh.

He's just so selfish and doesn't have the skill to justify the touches he demands. He's not even a good shot-blocker -- he's just ultra aggressive. Like shit, where's Cady Lalanne or Youssou Ndoye?

LOL Cady.

Yeah, I see it. Like I said, I want to believe. But you're being pretty pragmatic, and I'm afraid you're right. This team is in need of some serious re-tooling, and the pipeline is pretty thin.

More than double. I don't remember ever seeing (or noticing) that before. Wow!
Update. 58 rebounds to 28 rebounds. LMA/Lyles/Poetl still finished with 6 combined rebounds.

Spurs blew that opportunity in the kawhi deal . Will they deal lna&derozan now to rebuild? Unlikely

They obviously need to, but do you really want the same guy who was responsible for the Number 2 deal making more deals for the Spurs?

02-05-2020, 12:23 AM
Nah. They'll give Eubanks a full-time spot if they don't get a big back.

I mean you gotta figure if they viewed it that way we'd of seen more of Eubanks even considering he's on a two-way contract.

To be fair, I've always been skeptical on Metu. I don't think he was a bad pick given where he was picked and who was on the board. I really wanted KBD, but he was already off the board. It's just so weird to be that PATFO gave Chim the Kawhi treatment and two guaranteed years like he was a legit part of the plan, and he's never done anything to justify it. I've never seen PATFO miss that badly, not even on LJC. It's scary, because it makes you wonder about Walker and Samanic and if there's any chance they'll round out.

I think they've been saving him a bit. Drew was dressed for quite a few games this season where he wasn't needed. While two-way deals aren't horribly restrictive, the limit can become an issue if you don't spread it out.

The Fakers just swept the Spurs in the regular season... IF they were to get the 8th seed... playoff sweep incoming... Nah
! Not worth the "playoff record" just to make it to the playoffs and then get embarrassed and swept. Something WILL have to give... sooner or later...

Dubs have won two in a row and beat the Rockets less than 2 months ago. Now they're close to getting Curry back. I think they'll have a chance to finish the season with more dignity than we will, tbh.

That's why I said they might win enough to move up to the second worst record. I don't think they'll allow it to go further than that. But with Cleveland also in hard tank mode, I guess it could happen.

We wanted to see if there was maybe some nobility and dignity in the goal of reaching the playoffs and we wanted to see if there was real hope of doing so.

Narrator: There was neither a reason to make the playoffs nor any hope of doing so.

Twolves, Blazers, Knicks, Lakers (they will be next to dead in two years), Cavs, Pistons, Hornets, Rockets (end of the line soon).

This forum lacks realistic expectations of a sports team. That somehow they first be first or bust. Imagine being a fan of a team that has not been relevant for 15+ years.

But that's what everyone wants! Blow it up! That's the answer right? If so explain some of these teams that have continual lottery picks and fail to make playoffs.

And you call Pop out for pride? Where is everyone's pride when you tank and quit on a team? No pride here...no loyalty...

You are a little ridiculous. We all have pride and aren’t crying because we aren’t in the top 15. Actually most would prefer to be in the bottom 10 right now. What we hate due to our hardcore pride and our hardcore fandom is the total incompetence and lack of direction from the organization. Try and compete now or build for the future. Organizations without strong leaders with vision and the ability to make a decision off sound judgement will fail. you clearly are ok and content with whatever the FO does. I understand. Ignorance is comforting to many.

BTW, I’ll give you the Knicks, cavs, and pistons but would rather have the other rosters.

It's totally unrealistic to expect our FO - who is coming off of an all time great Sports run - to not sign loyalty deals with bad players, to not settle on 8-12th place mediocrity, and actually pick a direction to take the franchise rather than settle in the aforementioned NBA purgatory!

Stupid fake, unrealistic fans! Get on your knees and open your mouth for our Lord and Savior Poop! In Poop we trust!!!1

Cool. We can hang up the "We won some meaningless games against better teams in December" banner right next to the 10th place banner.

Again, they've trailed by 10 points in 60%+ of their games this season. If anything, they have been consistent.

Trade everybody I want my toy right now...
Fire Pop....Buy wait you just said to trade everybody so what would that do?

Remember this franchise owes you nothing. You will be here until you die. It owes everything to those it pays and has made it what it is. I'll trust those that are in the NBA when they talk about Pop not here.

Firing coach mid season does what? I can think of twice it instantly changed a season nfor a team and that was hockey. He ain't stepping down mid season.

Give me a team that blew it all up and were winners within 10 years or less.

Remember kiddos it's just basketball. A lot of you don't see that, it really is just basketball...

Denver, Houston, Lakers, Clippers all have a franchise player in their prime. Dallas and Utah have young studs who aren't even at their peak yet and will get better. Golden St will be back in the playoffs once Curry/Klay get back. That's 7 teams with some sense of direction and a plan to be stable as far as playoffs go.

NO and Memphis may have found their future in their 2 rookies who are both looking rather impressive. And if we include Portland as a team that can compete for a playoff spot that's 10 teams with a sense of direction that will be competing for 8 playoff spots for atleast the next 3-4 years.

Meanwhile the Spurs have zero sense of direction. They can't decide if they're tanking or if they're "fighting" for a playoff spot. They don't know what to do with DeRozan (trade, extend, or let him walk). They have no young stud as a cornerstone and no franchise player in their prime. There is no SF on the roster. Besides the Suns, Kings, and Wolves, there is no team out there that have a worse situation than the Spurs moving forward.

Assuming derozan opts in spurs only have one more year of suffering before they can get out of those deals. Sure maybe we cant attract fa but atleast they can tear it down and finally start the rebuild
