And yes, the DNC should have as little involvement as possible in primaries. The DNC/DSCC/DCCC should be in the business of helping the Democrats who win their primaries beat Republicans, not in the business of trying to influence voters to pick one Dem over the other.

It's interesting the DNC loves playing King maker in the proverbial smoke filled room. as policy they don't rotate committee chairs see you end up with committee despots anytime they are in power.

Within the parties themselves the GOP is much more democratic than the Democratic party.

you could argue they have a vested interest in supporting candidates who they think has the best chance of eventually winning those elections against republicans

You could except they should recognize how fucking bad they are at picking those candidates (no, Biden doesn’t erase Hillary Clinton (2016), Hillary Clinton (2008), John Kerry, Cal Dick Pics Cunningham, etc.).

Regardless, I also don’t agree with that argument. Their vested interest should be in helping Democratic voters get their way, not telling those voters what they should or shouldn’t want.
