Im still wondering if Parker's jump shot has really improved or was that just a little hot streak he was on in the 4th quarter. Can you guys imagine what that will do for the team if he can consistently make that 18-20 footer??

No way anyone can tell what this game will be like. Cleveland is very different this year in personnel, coaching and mgmt.

LeBron and Carmello are the two SFs that give Bruce Bowen the most trouble (LeBron moreso) and Bruce gets them the first two games. LeBron is just so strong and powerful.

It should be interesting tonight. Don't get too comfy in your confidence Spurs fans.

Any word on Manu's condition? I know it says probable, but I haven't seen any reports on how he has been doing in practice or anything...

PJ says he looked a lot better in practice.

Also, your right, genobe, if Tony's jumper becomes consistent than other teams are in for a world of hurt. Tony's about the fastest player in the league, especially with the basketball.

Everyone is really confident. I know we are better than them, but this is a formidable team, one of the top teams in the league.

I mean look at them again:

Lebron James, one of the two real threats to win the MVP this year
Larry Hughes, a consistent, athletic scorer and great at steals
Ilgauskas- a very good big men who can put the ball in the basket and block some shots
Drew Gooden the ultimate rebounder
The wild hair do Ara? is a surprisingly good player

Lebron didn't call glass on that one three pointer. He needs to follow the advice Karl gave Melo: Use your size, strength and speed by posting up Bruce or whoever guards him.

Last year, they went through a terrible stretch of games I know. However, this team could be dangerous potentially.

We were up 9 and got down by 5. They outscored us by 14 in that time period.

What's up with Horry taking all these mid range jumpers? That's never been a strong part of his game.

Tim has been almost completely ignored in the offense.

The Cavs offense has us scrambling.

Leaving Damon Jones open from beyond the arc is not smart.

Need to make some adjustments.

texbumTHElife
11-04-2005, 08:54 PM
I know the Spurs arent known for their offense but this is the most slow and lethargic I think i have ever seen the offense. Wehn Tony isnt pushing the ball the whole team stands around and watches whoever has the ball. Right now this team epitomizes what is wrong with US basketball which is ironic considering how many foreign players we have. It is all one on one basketball for the Spurs right now. They need to look at the ball movement the Cavs have and learn from it.

Bad defense, left Damon Jones wide open again.

Don't let up or they could get back in the game.

Let's finish this one strong. Tim has been out for a while and our lead is bigger.

Remember the old days when we used to panic every time that Tim left the game and the lead would shrink and shrink.

Those days are behind us (so long as he is not injured and can play good minutes part of the game).

Better intensity on the perimeter D. Much faster rotations and close-outs. Cavs stopped being hot so they penetrated more. The Bigs started collapsing on penetrations and blocking or bothering every shot. It became a death spiral for them.

I think that Rasho is on the verge of (Gulp!) connecting! All this tending and grooming and weeding may well have amounted to something. I loved Rasho's game tonight. But, while we say, "Way to go, Rasho!" we might also be telling him to look over his shoulder and listen for the footsteps. Rasho's no jerk! Whether or not he has what it takes to fight off those who would displace him is another matter. Can he dig way down? That's the question in the long-run.
Any comments on this assessment> :rolleyes Sallie
