This team needs defense and toughness ASAP, tbh...

He’s not young, which is a plus when it comes to getting minutes with Pop.

Just hope he’s at that point in his career where he just wants to collect paychecks and doesn’t snub us.

I heard Michael Redd is looking for a job too...

He can definitely shoot

But he is 55 years old... Joakim has nothing left. Kenneth Faried showed promise last year with the Rockets. He is a shell of what he used to be and only 6"8 but he still offers a ton of energy and some defensive presence. I'd rather have Faried or a player more similar to him than Joakim.

A 35 year old who just hurt his achilles over the summer? We already have a gimpy, over the hill, post-injured achilles loser on the squad. No thanks.

Wouldn't mind Evan Turner actually. Like, I can see the argument for just playing Keldon more, but Turner theoretically fits with a bench unit that sees White replace Forbes.

Murray, White, DeRozan, Lyles, Aldridge
Mills, Walker, Turner, Gay, Poeltl
Forbes, Belinelli, Johnson, Samanic, Metu
Eubanks, Weatherspoon

Wouldn't happen, but if Beli is bought out and replaced with a third center, then I could see it. Though obviously Bryn wouldn't get benched unless he got injured or something.

Please no. We’re already paying for the abortion that Carroll’s acquisition and buyout was plus getting past the ridiculous contract Gasol got. Granted, not every move going to work out but no need to make the current situation even worse. We should not extend DDR to a ridiculous contract, nor LMA, and especially not Forbes. Murray isn’t a savior either. Spurs would be wise to start the rebuild soon and some fresh blood at GM and head coach sure wouldn’t hurt.

He was good for the Grizzlies last season. He didn't snub them while they were bad (but trying to stay competitive) so I think the Spurs have a chance.

However, Pop probably isn't even looking in that direction bc Noah shows too much emotion on the court, he doesn't have any problems with giving it to people like it is, or calling out people slacking off on defense no matter who they are, even Pop's favored pets. Pop would bury him so far in the depth chart that Noah will regret signing here.

No one on the market is going to sky rocket the team this season. Hopefully we can use mle this offseason on a rotational player.

Pretty sure Noah would know what he’s getting into at this point if he were to sign here. I doubt he would agree to a contract and then after a couple weeks go “this team sucks, I’m out” :lol

He and Luol Deng owe big thanks to Tom Thibodeau for shortening their careers.

uhhhh. why?

At this point, i think the Spurs look overseas or g-league to see if anything pans out.

No point in discussing available free agents right now. There is no one out there good enough to take minutes from the guys that are already playing that will want to come to a likely non-playoff team like the Spurs. Besides, does anyone want to sign someone that would take minutes from the young players?

:lol pretty sure that’s what most of us have been yapping about this season anyway. Does seem like an odd suggestion considering our complaints and current standings. It could be different if we were looking at the 6th seed or something.

Howzabout Tim Duncan for 5 minutes a game and occasional crunch times?

And he can stay available. The guy was good for a whopping 2 years and has been living on reputation ever since. He's more washed than Tyson Chandler

I would have been Ok with him as a bench big at the start of the season, but if we bring in a player now (to fill Demarre's now empty spot), I think we should be looking at 10 days from the D-league to find diamonds in the rough...
