The gist: If the Spurs don't rally, play and develop the youngsters, and try and improved their pick.

Sorry to dash your dreams folks, but the real world isn't kind to naysayers.

Time to lace up the shoes and go for the Playoffs.

The irony that playing the young un's in a free flowing offense and benching Bryn Bryn will result in more wins.

this

if you want to draft better you should NOT play your young guys. Just keep trotting the lineup you got now lol

Nice write-up!

Regardless of what happens the rest of the season, the one thing you touched on that makes a lot of sense is the idea of perhaps trading Aldridge this off-season. He's probably raised his trade value a ton by showing he can shoot threes at a decent clip. With him being on the down-side of his career, but still carrying significant value, using him as a trade-piece in the off season might be San Antonio's best chance of reloading without having to totally rebuild.

Well coaching has failed them all year and has caused them to lose so I am pretty sure coaching will continue to fail them and they will continue to lose...so the spurs don't really have a choice in how the approach the rest of the season

Everyone on this site knows Pop isn’t gonna give more minutes to the young guys. He is gonna get trotting out the same stupid line ups with Forbes getting the 3rd most minutes per game and Marco eating into Lonnie’s minutes also.

maybe with 10 or 15 games left he will play the young guys if we have no chance mathematically to make the playoffs

I think they'll play the same line-ups. Pop isn't going to bench LMA, DDR, etc.......but Forbes is a definitely going to start and that is tanking in itself...they will go at him every play. They probably have his name written on the chalkboard.

Assuming this isn't a masked tanking; essentially this.
