I'll take Fury late...maybe 9th/10th round. Wilder is devastating, but he isn't rocket science. By his own admission he's a one trick pony. Fury out boxes him and finishes him.

First time since the 90’s that I’ve anticipated a HW bout:tu

Pulling for a KO, either way...just don’t put the match in the hands of 3 corrupt stiffs

I felt if they didn't end the fight Wilder was going to die like Apollo Creed did in Rocky 3. That's how brutal it looked.

A busted eardrum?
Who gonna survive that?
Fury walked him down, bullied him by leaning his extra 44 lbs on him, outboxed him
Then Shakira flicked his tongue in his ear
An old fashioned ass whipping...

Great win for boxing, tbh. The pageantry, build-up, viewership, celebrities, brutality of the fight, and a likable undisputed champion with comedic showmanship. HW division and the sport itself are back, even if only just for a little while. It doesn’t matter that it was lopsided, people love multiple haymakers and knockdowns.

Seeing the ear damage you know Wilder might have been done, one of the worst places to take a hard shot. I predicted wilder would lose via UD or a late tko before the fight , but this was a twist. Hoping wilder shows up in better form for the third fight, probably will be soon.

Great to see Tyson bounce back from his coke addiction finally, he was maybe just at 75% last fight so if he stays sober I expect him to win the third fight and put Joshua out before the 8th. Guy is one of the best technically skilled HWs to be in the spotlight for a while.

Wilder's Trainer Jay Deas was talking all kinds of Shit, sounds like a con man through and through. Never taught his man anything but minimum basic boxing skills and questioned Olympic Gold Medalist Multiple Time World Champions Mark Breland's choice to throw in the towel. He wanted to let and see if Tyson could do to Wilder what Andrew Golota did to Riddick Bowe, make him a Retard and let the Fight Go on. Wilder was so hurt he was still wobbley getting to to the stretcher to took him to the hospital after the fight. Clearly had a broken eardrum and was swallowing and spitting copious liter's of blood during the fight all indicative of major internal damage. Let me tell you a broken eardrum is no joke, fucks up you equilibrium for YEARS if not life. Not the type of thing a fighter needs. He came out of that fight a very much diminished lesser version of himself.

https://boxrec.com/media/images//thumb/4/49/Jay_Deas.jpg/180px-Jay_Deas.jpg https://boxrec.com/media/images//thumb/a/a1/Breland_1560776.jpg/300px-Breland_1560776.jpg https://boxrec.com/media/images//thumb/6/67/Mark-breland-wba.jpg/250px-Mark-breland-wba.jpg

Ofcourse, ear injuries are the lesser known career destroyers. I think the fight was stopped before enough damage was done, at least I hope because then the hw division is back to being a joke. Wilder ain't technically sound of a boxer, but he's a good slugger and probably still is the next best boxer - I have no real faith in Joshua.

Tyson wants to honor the third fight clause, wilder probably will as well. Hoping it's a sooner fight, given wilder is healthy, so they can feed off the hype and give boxing another big match. I don't think Joshua vs fury will do nearly as well

Just watched, it was over in the 3rd. He whooped his ass, but that ear injury fucked him for the rest of the fight.

AJ will probably have to wait, I can't imagine Wilder not exercising his rematch.

AJ lost all what credibility he had after losing to Ruiz. He ducked Wilder, Fury will probably destroy him if they fight.

Fight should have been stopped as soon as his ear drum was ruptured. I cant imagine the damage that was done after that. Shame on his team tbh.

Corner probably should've called it earlier, when they saw Wilder had no legs and no shot of the one-hitter quitter coming. No sense in worsening the damage.

HIPA LAWS dictate that a fighter doesn't have to talk about SHIT medical. I'm skeptical about what his camp told ESPN. He had all the symptoms of a ruptured Eardrum.

Ask yourself, How does an Object get INTO his ear to cut it? This is damage control so as to get a quick rematch. So if he is looking for a quick rematch its because he has lost confidence and wants that last paycheck. They are already throwing Breland Under the Bus.

He said post-fight his legs were already hurt (or something like that) before the fight. Which is probably why he was pacing so much/stretching them so much. Like ball players on the stationary bike on the sidelines. I'm guessing he over-trained.

Wilder and Ruiz are both property of Lou DiBella, he is their Don King type Promoter.

Matchmaking 101, two guys coming off horrible losses you match them against each other. You have to get ONE back on track and the winner goes on to gain credibility.

That Winner should take on Fury. Ideally it would be Wilder but I think that Andy Ruiz takes Wilder. I think Ruiz has a better potential to produce a classic fight with Fury(potential Ali Frazier situation) than Wilder any way. I'm curious to see how much long term damage Wilder received. He always talked like badly so I couldn't tell if he ended up like Riddick Bowe did after Golota 2. He went in talking like Ali 1978 walked out talking (and still does) Ali 1999. The Wilder Fury 2 was quite similar to Golata Bowe 2 minus the Nut Shots.

https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/579074461711382326/BD64036B020A14F9EA2757A4253FF04802F80E4C/

The most logical path, finances aside, would be that

Wilder vs Ruiz
Fury vs Joshua

Wilder/Ruiz vs fury

However, money talks and I think a rematch will net the biggest profit. Ruiz vs wilder might net a decent amount, possibly, but why not cash out again fighters are getting older

Deontay Wilder Says Legs Weakened by Black History Month Costume

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2877823-deontay-wilder-to-use-tyson-fury-rematch-clause-says-legs-weakened-by-costume?utm_source=cnn.com&utm_campaign=editorial&utm_medium=referral

Deontay Wilder is reportedly looking to get back into the ring again with Tyson Fury.

Pugmire also noted Wilder said the 45-pound costume he wore on his way into the ring weakened his legs and impacted his fighting ability.

Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated reported a third fight would happen by the end of July.

Ear injury would explain why he couldn't soak fury's punches better, tbh. Boxing is all about footwork, if your equilibrium is fucked you won't last.

Wilder wants the third fight, I'd expect they'll jump into it soon.

Nah, but footwork is at the core of even the most amateur of boxers. Wilder is more known for his power, explosiveness and endurance but if his footwork is off he can't roll with punches or really use his powerful right. Fury likely knew this and put everything he had into taking down wilder the second he looked damaged.

Fury is a class above as far as boxing skill goes, but he's no foreman so I'd credit the early TKO to ear damage and wilder unable to adjust.

Agreed. He's like a difficult boss out of a video game. I have never seen a guy take two knock out punches like Fury did from Wilder and just get up twice. I knew Wilder was going to lose when Fury got up the second time.
