Guy in the video calls it a player option; but Hoopshype does not list it as such.

The chatter is LMA wanting to go back to Portland. SA may accommodate him.

Aldridge to Portland for Ariza, Collins, Hood and a 2021 lottery protected 1st tbh.

Let DDR walk if he opts out or trade him if he opts in.

Can they bring along Forbes and Beli?

Derozan will opt-in. The financial hit from the hiatus is going to have a huge impact on the revenue, which will reduce the cap and salaries to match. If he opts out, his new salary, even on a longer term deal, will not compensate.

Better for him to stay one more year, wait for revenue to return to normal, then do a longer term deal.

Good time to close a sad chapter in franchise history. Hopefully Forbes can be packaged in some deal for these guys.

Getting rid of lma will be extremely helpful to the spurs toughness.

I think if both guys are committed to winning and giving it their all out there, this is still a 4-5 seed team. But both of these guys look bored and uninterested. It’s no wonder why our team is floundering. They’re not amazing options to begin with but when they’re effort is iffy, I’m surprised they’ve even won 27 games thus far. It’s time to cut ties with both of them. Get whatever we can. At this point, I can’t imagine any team giving up much for either guy and I don’t think we need too much.

Well, that's one guys opinion... and there is a strong chance but still this video means nothing. He also talks about trading Mills and we all know that's not happening.

i mean if you were aldridge or derozen wouldn't you want out? who the fuck would want to play for the spurs as they are currently constructed/coached? maybe if timmy took the reins..i dunno.

lol how?

Waive Hood, shop Ariza, and keep Collins as a flyer. Also get a 1st. Pretty solid return tbh. Spurs are going to be bad, might as well get a first out of moving on from LMA.

Id say bye , however you have to also consider no NBA player is ever going to want to play here when Forbes is your star player.

Portland asks spurs to throw Forbes on s&t. Spurs hang up the phone and resign Forbes for 4 years 60 million :lmao

DeRozan will either leave with a sign and trade or opt in. The salary cap will likely go down next year because of all the lost revenue. DDR isn’t going to find a team with cap space to take him.

I think you might be able to turn Hood into a 2nd-rounder.

I think you might be able to turn Hood into a 2nd-rounder.

Hood is coming back from an ACL tear. Spurs would have to keep him on roster until he's ready to return and then give him minutes to get other teams interested again.

May just be easier to waive him use that spot on someone else. I could see Ariza fetching second rounders even though he's pretty overrated at this point.

That'll surely be changed to be based on projections.

Lyles won't be starting when those two leave. He's obviously starting only to make sure those primadonnas hit their shot quotas.
