Kelvin Cato split Battier's head wide open. Blood was pouring out. He was walking down the court, trying to stanch it with his hand, and it was still running down his face. He had to Malik his jersey to keep it under control.

Gross.

For a visual aid, Battier got the top of his head grazed by Cato, who was trying to block the shot. Battier went down. As he was getting up, you could see a pool of blood form on the top of his head, and then it started going down the front of his head. It was beautiful. He came back after getting stitches.

He wasn't "grazed". It was square on.
It was bloody. Cato caught him just right to split his skin. He'll be fine.

It looked pretty sick, 'cause there was A LOT of blood. Poor Shane.

Yeah, Battier got up and acted like it was just a bump, despite the fact it looked like a geyser was erupting.
