4-1 is how I think we will end up, losing a tough one in Washington the day after Boston.

Predict how ya think we'll do.

5-0

There isn't a team on that list that can play more than a half with SA. Normally, I'd consider the Dallas game a possible L, but I think Mr. Finley will be En Fuego.

6-0

including an extra stop in Boston to beat the Sox in the 10th inning

Yeah, I go Homer and say 5 - 0. Dallas is probably the biggest question mark, but I say Finley finishes off his old team. Washington may do a little better than Cleveland did tonight, but not that much better.

Can't see us losing to anyone unless someone gets injured or they just don't show up...and I don't mean mentally, I mean that they're physically not there.

5-0. Everyone here is underestimating just how amazing this team is. I'm even starting to believe my 68-14 preseason prediction was a bit on the conservative side after seeing how strong Parker has looked so far.

Dallas poses the biggest challenge if we're to lose a game.

I hope they sweep that road trip. They are looking so great. I know Pop was genius at resting TP and others in the pre season and not getting them burnt out.

Wow, 2 good games and everyone is acting like this team is as good as the Bulls team that won 72 games (just like when they lose everyone wants to fire Pop and trade players).

I see a 3-2 trip at best with a couple of reality checks to bring the team down to Earth a bit.

I think losses at Dallas tonight and at Washington are very good possibilities.

I see 4-1 not because of Mavs but some odd game in east seems to be on the card.

Should be 5-0

I think we will be a much better road team this year.

Our team has the confidence that comes with being the World Champs 2 of the last 3 years. We have a lot of strong, mentally tough veterans.

Unless we suffer an injury or the other team gets really lucky, we will win all five.

Who's going to beat us? Dallas? I guess there the best of the group, but they have serious weaknesses, didn't play well against Phoenix...

Chicago? Not as good as last year.
Charlotte Still expansion
Washington Not bad, but not great either.

Anything less than 5-0 on this road trip is less than expectations.

Why shouldn't we be optimistic? It's not like we're swinging through Miami, Indy, and Detroit. These are NOT contending teams.

I like this road trip
spurs should win them all and then get confidence on the road when they have won 5 road game in a row already when they face a tougher team

I don't think anything, I just believed based on who we're playing, the Spurs will win these 5-0. Think about all the matchups, not what happend last season.

Remember, too, that this is season 3 of the core group of three coming back. The Spurs burned out of the gate last year (unusual for SA) and I think would have won 65 if Tim didn't miss 16 games. Ten of the thirteen on the roster were here last year. It's almost like a continuation season. The Spurs have played over .700 ball during the Duncan era, and the roster turned over HUGE almost every year. You people have no idea what we are in for over the next 5 seasons when our core of three is signed and locked down. Think: Bull run.

If not, 5-0.

You do know we lost alot against teams that sucked last year right?

And not all road games are guaranteed as last year showed us..

I predict 4-1, and that's saying we did very good.

We didn't lose to too many sucky teams when Tim was healthy. Of course, that only lasted until February, but Pop DID finally coach the ASG.

5-0 baby!

This could be like a miniature version of the legendary "Rodeo Road Trip" of the 2003 season. Uh, you people remember back that far don't you? I know I smoked a lot of "shit" in college, but I still remember the really cool things.

Yes, but this is the start of the season. Players are fresh, rested, and focused. Timmy's healthy. He's dominant. He's well rested. Tony is absolutely on fire. Bowen is still the same Bowen we remember. We have added ammo in Finley and NVE. So we won't be lacking the same amout of offense as last year. Anything can happen, and I realize we're not gonna be winning every game, but these 5 teams look pretty easy to me, so I don't see why I should predict a loss.

But let me take my homer glasses off and predict again...

No shame here. Spurs could've won this, just too many turnovers.

I'm going 4-1 now. Spurs will come back for blood in the next 4.

Skiles usually has the Bulls hustling hard. Spurs aren't hustling.
Charlotte's looking much improved.
Boston got beat @BOS at the buzzer by Pistons.
Arenas/Jamison/etc could have a hot night (sorta like Dirk and Devin).

Spurs couldn't finish this road trip with record under .500.

November sucks.

At least this loss brings the overconfident Spurs fans down a notch. Rumblings of 70 wins was bothersome.

some filthy (vbookie)rich people would've come down.

This dallas game reminds me of the whipping we got in 02-03 by Sacramento at home. Scores look similar iirc.

You know, I won't mention what places nor do I suspect this place does it. But they wouldn't hold bets that would dip into the leaders pockets. For some fear of power and balance on the boards I guess. Most vbooks created seem to lean towards people with lots of money who can waste it with little risk, rather than on an event such as this where they could get clumsy.

Thats why I dont post that "other" board anymore. I dont suspect anything of the sort here either.

I put 4-1 with a loss in Washington (or any damn east team). I thought Fin/Ex would shoot the lights out of AAC but they (including just about everyone else -except timmy) laid eggs. :depressed

3-2 We already lost Dallas, I think we'll lose Charlotte too, even though we shouldn't. If we don't, we'll lose Washington, cause it's a back to back.

I thought I'd revisit this thread just to be mean ...

Not being malicious. Just nice to see the unbeatable machine and it's fans eat a little crow too. It doesn't happen very often. So, it's a little fun when it does.

One of my more favorite posts talked about how winning 68 games this season was probably a conservative guess.

I'm quite sure the Spurs will turn it around and Timmy will get back to superstar form. They had a long season last year. They're entitled to a few games like last night. Detroit lost to Atlanta and Charlotte early on last season. I know how it is.

But, for now, EAT THAT CROW!!!
