I hope Finley scores 50+ on the Mavs. But as long as the Spurs win I don't care how many Finley scores.

I think he's going to shoot a lot, but whether he makes them or not is a different thing, although I think he will make Cuban sorry for cutting him and wearing ridiculous clothes.

He used to kill Phoenix in the early days after the trade to Dallas. I believe one of his frist triple-doubles came against the Suns. Of course he was the man back then.

Different times now.

I'd love to see him drop 30 but if he has a game like he did against Denver I'd be just as happy. Or if he shoots like he did tonight that the rebounds, assists, steals, defense, enery, and hustle is there too.

Most importantly, I want the Spurs win.

Very good thread.

I have stated on the record (officially for the timvp types) that if Finley does not have a good game tommorow, then he's crap.

He proves himself to the spurs Nation tommorow....
if he cannot come through then he has not won my approval and will never win my approval ever. Tommorow is his time to shine.

Finley baby.
better do it tommorow.

Poor guy's on the spot after two games.

We'll see if he's got your approval when he's clutch in the playoffs.

I say 12 pts and 6 rbds
Minutes are too evenly distributed I dont think he will be on
the floor long enough to drop 20 or more.

14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists
And a big momentum shift to the Spurs in the 3rd quarter

Question ...

Is there any way that Pop starts Michael Finley tonite?

I know Pop isn't the type to get in all of the fanfare and stuff like that. But, considering Manu is not 100% yet and is only playing half the game anyway, and considering how big the signing of Finley was for the Spurs, and the fact that it is IN DALLAS, is there even a chance? Just curious what Spurs fans think ...

Pop should be fired if he doesn't allow Finley to play 30-35 mins :lol

I don't see Pop playing Finley any more than he did last night. That having been said, I am sure Finley will come out with intensity. Hopefully, it won't affect him negatively like it did Horry in 03-04 against the Lakers.

I'm not sure Mike Finley has that vendetta, show you what you lost type of attitude over the situation, everyone knows the quality player that Finley is, and Cuban even said that Mike deserved every penny of his contract, it was simply a business decision and this game doesn't mean a whole lot.

If he does not play well, then he's on my shitlist.
I dont think he'll have a huge game, but realistically it's a given he will.
Most nba stars always ruin their former teams...

But that would be nice.

Fin is the picture of class...I think he will go out of his way NOT to stand out tonight. My guess is he will do all it takes to show he's part of the team now. He'll launch from three a few times for sure but I see him getting beat more than usual because he's gonna want to push the Mavs players towards the defense. In the end it won't matter as the Spurs will win this one.
