Interesting sidebar: As a SoCal resident I watched a local news report at the time that stated Hearn had tried to carry a potted plant over his head; and he either tripped or his arms just gave out and he dropped it on his own head. Interestingly enough, this part of the story seemed to have been omitted in the sources readily available online.
