Trash is doing it for scape goating and political points but WHO has dismally failed its responsibility. They were cowed by China like China cows countries and companies. Chinese local authorities in Wuhan were too afraid to notify central authorities and central authorities when they became aware of the problem hid it from the world to protect their image. WHO didn’t obtain access until the problem was full blown and then downplayed it so as not to not upset Xi and his cronies.

There need to be changes and demands made. It should be made crystal to China by whatever means it takes that they WILL BE transparent in issues that can have massive global consequences in health and economies. What is amusing is that China and Trash use the same method to suppress information and try to control people and organizations. Individuals or organization who confront Trash are punished. If only there were some way of knowing what was going on there outside of official Chinese government channels. If we just had some way of getting information out of other countries to be able to make our own assessments, and react to it.

Having some capability to make decisions based on information gathered from non-official channels sure would come in handy.

WHO’s failure and culpability is being afraid of retribution from China, not calling them out for denying early access to on site investigation. They compounded that by praising China’s efforts which obviously were insufficient, geared to protect China’s image at the expense of the world’s health and economies. The US army intelligence was raising red flags in Dec. WHO was praising China’s efforts and forthrightness without a real clue what was actually going on in China.
