LOL I was thinking the same thing.

interesting

Oh well.

Lamar Odom IMO is ripe for the taking.

SO is Arenas and some other "tradeable" guys.

By the way, for all you Rasho haters, he was 5th in field goal percentage last year, and thats for a guy who shoots jumpers the majority of the time.

Yet he sucks......:rolleyes

If anyone needs me, I'll be near the bottom of Medina Dam, most likely splattered into about 14398423 pieces.

Aggie Hoopsfan
07-16-2003, 04:39 PM
Well I hope to hell we get Odom, that or apparently our front office has gone brain dead.

Hey, is Allan Houston still available for a trade?

KoriEllis
07-16-2003, 04:41 PM
I wonder if Sterling matches. They said they would match the Spurs offer. I hope he matches the Heat.

As far as Odom or Arenas, we might be able to get them, but then we'd most likely trade one of our own -- too many swingmen. :(

I don't want to start fucking with the chemistry, but it seems trades are becoming more viable optoins.

T Park Num 9

aggie thats an awesome Idea.

Allan Houston.....

Man can you imagine his shooting on this team???

sign him up!

Aggie Hoopsfan
07-16-2003, 04:43 PM
Well Kori we've got 12 million dollars sitting here, we better do something with it.

I used to feel the Spurs GM the last few years should have been in the running for GM of the year, right now they're in the running for GoMer of the year.

AHF

scott
07-16-2003, 04:44 PM
If Sterling doesn't match, there may be an increased demand for personal security guards in the Dominion area.

Coincidently, there may also be an increased demand for high powered sniper rifles and information as to Greggy Pop's whereabouts.

KoriEllis
07-16-2003, 04:45 PM
Allan Houston???

Have you guys gone mad?

His contract is sick!

Aggie Hoopsfan

No lie scott, if the Spurs pussed out and LA doesn't match, RC and Pop should be shown the door for some boys with some heuvos.

Yes, Ducks.

KoriEllis
07-16-2003, 04:49 PM
I'm not sure if the Spurs pussed out just because Sterling said he'd match or what. But it's so disappointing. Bottom line is that Miami is more appealing to Brand than SA for whatever reason. There's not much we can do about that.

Aggie Hoopsfan
07-16-2003, 04:50 PM
Kori,

That was tongue in cheek in reference to Manny's insistence that we should S&T Speedy out for Allan.

I see everyone is back on the Pop sucks bandwagon........

I'm sorry, let me try again.

Pop is doing a fantastic job, planning all this cap space was fucking brilliant, it's workout just like I had hoped, I am so proud to see he had the balls to take on Donald Sterling for Brand and set himself up for Odom if that doesn't work out.

Beter?

AHF

scott
07-16-2003, 04:51 PM
There's not much we can do about that.

Bullshit Kori. We are all at fault here. The solution was simple.

We should have elected BH for Mayor.

Aggie Hoopsfan
07-16-2003, 05:01 PM
Why does all the blame get put on RC?

RC Buford will be on Sports Talk San Antonio today on the Ticket 760 at around 4:30pm.

Wonder what he has to say. Maybe it's just about Duncan re-signing.

07-16-2003, 05:11 PM
Tpark, stfu.

I'm a huge pop fan.

I'll be VERY pissed if they fucked this up.

How hard is it to understand that?

If Brand goes to Miami because Pop and RC pussed out, we'll be pissed, now fucking accept that and stop sucking on his left nut.

gospurs21
07-16-2003, 05:11 PM
why is it that all you guys always want to emmidiately blaim Pop or RC, how the **** do you know what happened

Who has more money under the cap Miami or Spurs (even after Rasho)?

If it wasn't for that fucking agent screwing that Miami player, I would still like to see that investigated, Miami would not be in this position. If you are looking to someone to blame there is your fucking scapegoat

How are you so sure Brand wanted to even play for the Spurs.

The only ones that are pathetic are the ones always wanting to jump on Spurs management without any facts. It seems like everyone in hear is infected by GW.

Go Spurs...

Aggie Hoopsfan
07-16-2003, 05:12 PM
Was RC the GM back when the Holt-ing pattern was implemented?

Question.

Forget I even brought it up folks, Pop deserves no blame for this, it's all RC's fault, he acted alone. Locked himself in a room, wouldn't return Pop's calls, etc. What a punk he was.

Without even being asked to elaborate, Odom went on to say "Why would I want to waste my career away in that flea-infested two bit podunk town? Until that city gets more development on the southside, no big time playa will want to be there. When you consider that (San Antonio) is filled with a bunch of pregenant pre-teen sluts, the only major free agent I can think of that would ever consider the Spurs would be Kobe Bryant."

:flipoff odom then

Im sucking on his nut??

interesting manny.

Youve NEVER been a pop fan so STFU on that.

They pussed out on Brand??

So what the **** if they did.

Maybe they said, screw it lets go after someone else.

WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH THAT.

Plus, if they sign Brand. wtf do you do with Rose Willis and Nesterovic.

Sorry to break your pop hating hearts dick heads,

but if Pop signs back Speedy and Jack, this will have been a decent summer.

If he resigns them AND gets an Odom, Arenas, or some other player, than this will have been a GREAT summer.

Loosing out on one guy doesnt a summer make.

If you don't think i'm a fan of Pop you're more of a moron than I ever gave you credit for.

And to top that off, if you pass on Elton Brand because you are worried on what to do with nesterobitch or malik rose, then you're an evern bigger moron than just stated above.

I love malik, Rasho is decent, but Brand is a kick ass PF better than either of those 2.

****, Miami better not get him or else I'll be pissed.

TPark,

Plus, if they sign Brand. wtf do you do with Rose Willis and Nesterovic.

If Parker ain't worth passing on Kidd for, then none of those three are even close to worth passing on Elton for.

If you disagree that's fine, at least come up with a rational argument.

Sign Odom to a frontloaded contract now starting between $8 and $9 million.

Tell Speedy to slow his roll and work out a S&T with NY is Odom is not matched that sends Speedy and SJAX(not needed now) for Allan Houston. I know everyone is going to bitch and moan about his salary but (1) that is big time hoops and Allan is capable of putting up 50 on a team w/o any interior game and (2) the Spurs will not be under the cap again in the next 4-6 years anyway.

Starting lineup:
PG Tony Parker 6'1
SG Allan Houston 6'7
SF Lamar Odom 6'10
PF Tim Duncan 7'0
C Rasho Nestorovic 7'0

Bench mob: Malik Rose, Manu, Bruce Bowen, Steve Kerr, Kevin Willis, Menge bateer, FA (Travis Best or Jerome Mosio)

Morphgizmo
07-16-2003, 05:54 PM
Country, I love the lineup. But how in the hell are the Spurs going to sign Houston ($15 mil) and Odom ($8-10 mil) with $12 mil dollars worth of capspace?

MannyIsGod
07-16-2003, 05:58 PM
Yeah, i don't see why houston's contract would be a problem when we're not going to be under the cap for a long tiem anyhow.

Spurs have $12 million left.
$8 million goes to Odom.

Sign Speedy for $5 million and SJAX for $5 million send them to NY for Allan Hoston's $15 million. The $4 million dollar buffer allows them to get within 15% of Houston's salary.

no it is not possible

8 + 5 + 5 = 18 million

Spurs have 12 million

But the Spurs can go over the cap to sign Jax since they got his Early Bird rights.

NCaliSpurs
07-16-2003, 09:04 PM
That seems possible, but we would be more likely to get Sprewell than Houston.

Would I be willing to put

Parker, Sprewell, Odom, Duncan, and Rasho on the floor at the same time. Hell yes. Does this thing have a snowball's chance in hell of happening? No.

Our front office seems to think that standing pat, given the talent out there, is good enough in the long run.

Aggie Hoopsfan
07-16-2003, 10:59 PM
Can we stop with the Allan Houston talk?

I can't believe anyone thinks Houston is worth that, or that we'd be willing to take the biggest mistake Layden ever made off his hands for him.

Christ, I'd rather max out Mengke Bateer before taking on Houston's deal.
