Current game on ESPN is worth watching too since it ended Warm Karl's career ringless (Pistons vs Lakers 2004 Finals Game 5).

You know that ticks me off. The 2004 Finals appear to be in HD or close to it. When they roll the Spurs 05 finals? SD like a mofo!

There used to be an HD torrent of the entire 05 Finals going around, but probably hard to find seeded now fifteen years later.

KY hits that 3
Manu throws it down
Patty with the avalanche

How soon people (me included) forget.

I will no longer participate in Patty slander.

I'd love Mills if he got in the kind of shape he was in in 2013-14 every year.

LeBron came out like a man on a mission.
Kawhi had a sneaky good 1st.
Manu keeps us relevant.
Then the explosion as we dismantle the Heat for the last time.

He could be in better shape, but he cant help his limits. The main problem is that he's still asked to do too much because the current iteration of the team is terrible.

He's the reason why I don't watch highlights or any old videos of this championship run. It's the only run that I don't really like to reminisce about.

You are right that it was really a team effort. Manu,Tim,Parker all played at a high level. Statically #2 was the 3rd or 4th best player during this run but his Finals performance overshadows it. Casuals and the media gives him all the credit for this run like he was already a superstar. It's one of the reasons why I don't care about it anymore. Glad Tim got 5 but it sucks ass #2 gets all the credit for this run when he doesn't deserve it.

Riga time predates Bertans. I started it when doing a lot of game threads in 2014, and we won the championship. So, it caught on for a while. :bobo

Should never have traded Davis....Still pisses me off.

Audit living in the past

It's a thread about the 2014 Finals game, so living in the past is sort of expected a little, my friend.

Like having a handle "Play Boban" when the dude's not been on the team in years... As was "Play Blair." You can relate, clearly.

I bought the whole 2014 Finals and WCF on Amazon Video years ago, so I can watch it whenever I want.

And I was physically in attendance at game 5! Never forget. It was extra cool because they won the championship on Father's Day and I went to the game with my dad.

That is great you were able to experience it with your Dad. My wife and I were there and it was a fantastic evening. It still feels surreal to me. I have the box set of the other 4 championship Finals games- wins only. At least I finally have the full Game 5. I bought the championship DVD, but its only highlights.

The thought came to me as I watched that game again with a more critical eye that Kwahi was benched early in the 4th quarter, presumably because he had 5 fouls, but was that was saving him for the ending? I thought so at the time, but....

There were several shots of him walking around the bench with what appears to be an anxious expression. I empathized with those moves because I used to walk around the coach when I thought he had forgotten me :eyebrows.

And why didn't Kwahi get put in at the end for a minute where the coach could have taken him out for the fans to cheer???? I loved that all the team got a shot at playing a few minutes at the end, but there is something special about being taken out to the cheers of Spurs fans. I was there and the volume of sound from the crowd for most of the 4th quarter made it hard to hear someone talk to youl

So last night ,It made me wonder if he felt he was disrespected after he played a fine game guarding Le Bron. Anyone else have the same feeling after watching the replay.????

I thought he was pacing because he was actually freaking out like 'I am about to win a ^#%$ing NBA Championship. He looked like he was really overwhelmed. Even more so when he won MVP. I loved watching it again after several years. I was there too and it was just insane. Felt great!

My son flew in from Las Vegas and bought the tickets for us to go to the game. All those years of taking him to games paid off in one great experience for both of us. Met up with one of my girlfriends from the early days of the Spurs, a former Baseline Bum. I'll Never forget that game and the electricity of the crowd after the comeback from 22-6 down.
