I mentioned I've been eyeing the re-release on Steam in June. But I found this recently at family home from the early 2000s

But the cd-rom on my old Asus with Windows 7 is failing me! I remember this working 3 years ago. Windows is no longer updating software. I already checked the cd-rom for errors and updated compatibility with Windows 7 over XP

Still nothing. Might be toast?

Oh shit. Okay just went the hell with it and signed up for EA Origin - $5/month

Just finished downloading everything and game experience is just like the original. I am impressed

Play using the ccnet server. It's better.

But ccnet players are hit and miss. There's no ranking systems. Sometimes they're too good and sometimes they're noob.

hard to find players of the same skillset because of no ranking.

Okay, I was running into an issue on ccnet when I attempted to download Red Alert 2. The first worked great. That led me to Origin and now I am trying out SimCity and Out of this park baseball
