I still play the previous version "Civ V" which most prefer but I've always wanted to check this out and will compare. Post back here and let me know what you think

Playable on Windows. The bootcamp version on my Mac has tiny screen. No play tonight

IIRC, I liked V more than VI.

Man, haven't played a Civ game since the DOS days, but I definitely claimed this one. Might be interesting to play an RTS other than Age of Empires II for a change (still my favorite RTS ever).

My brother is really into the series and said the same.

Haven't tried again. Really disappointed no Mac

Yah 6 looks really cartoonish.

There was some building improvements (not so much needed); the warring was just more fluid in V it seemed like.

I put in some time

They added depth in certain areas to supposedly improve late game scenario. But other changes just seem like nuisance. Random changes to complicate, not improve significantly. I.E. the technology tree now has a new layer with a another tree.

The movement is not as smooth. Seems more tedious.

And visually - I hate it. Cartoonish. The colors all melt into one super bright rainbow. The information pop up box is the opposite a dreary looking gray box. Weird.

I'm gonna give it a little more time but none of the leaders really caught my attention either. I settled on Norway and chose map with Islands to give myself an early edge
