They should have also mentioned that a confederate sympathizer killed Lincoln after the Confederacy had already surrendered. Lincoln is still America’s favorite president and rightfully so.

I personally feel there shouldn't be confederate monuments; however they should be removed in an orderly and officially sanctioned way.

I understand. They lost the War and fought for a standard that was central to the War. I personally think the slavery angle for Civil War is overstated but that is the common understanding/practice. Losing battle for Americans, bigger battles to fight IMO
