Buried near the end of the story.......

At one point, Mr. da Silva even exhibited a map of his country, which is larger than the continental United States. "Wow! Brazil is big," Mr. Amorim quoted the American president as responding.

Oh, Gee!!

Needs to stfu about Manu. I think Dubya jinxed him. Anyone else notice how Gino hasn't quite been himself since Dubya bragged about him in Argentina?

I guess you missed the first post, Mr. Observant. It's not funny the second time.

Not the funniest thing to happen to El Presidente. A sufficiency of countries got together and struck his agenda item on the mega Amercan free trade zone. Shrub was Punk'd, and there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it. When you think you run the entire world, people just LOVE to prove you wrong.

"Nope, don't think we're gonna talk about that. Next."

That's obvious. There's one sitting in the Oval office as we speak.

I, for one, am glad that a few leftist governments have tied up a free trade zone in Latin America. No doubt that is a desirable outcome.

As for Bush's comment, who cares?

Chilean wine already is only like $6. How much cheaper do we need it?

You gotta think about the homeless. Get it cheap enough and they can give up sterno and MD 20/20.

When you're drunk, I don't think one can tell whether the Carmenere has sharp tannins or not. I don't one cares much in the first place.

Will free trade really make fine South American wine as cheap as mash liquor?

I gave a homeless dude at an intersection a half bottle of vodka once. Am I a bad person?

You're a bad person because you didn't give him the full bottle.

My mom gave a whole cooked ham to a guy at an intersection with a sign that said "Hungry, will work for food" no work required ... and he told her he didn't want it he wanted the money. She told him to go fuck himself (verbatim). Was she a bad person? :wow :lol

Hmmm...not sure. I asked the dude if he could use it and he said "uuuuh...YEAH". Seemed pretty grateful.

Just giving you a hard time. I have had the same experience with a guy that had a "Hungry" sign up. I offered him my sack lunch (a sandwhich, chips, and an apple) and he said no thanks.
