USC were to lose one of their upcoming games? Alabama doesn't look like a contender to me, plus they bore the hell out of me. Miami has looked decent, and just beat Tech at their place. LSU, Penn state, and Georgia, don't seem special. If UCLA won at USC, they could catapult up there. Or would USC simply seem the strongest and still play in the championship. Thoughts.

It's a media poll. If it was a loss by 1-5 points, they would stay #1. Otherwise #2.

I am pretty sure that Alabama will lose to LSU this Saturday. So if USC lost 1 game I still think they would be #2 overrall.

I would love to say even the media "remember November" & if tu and Alabama win out, they play at the Rose Bowl. But Oklahoma a few years back proved this wrong. (of course, OU lost in the Big12 champ which was in Dec.)

Texas & USC flip-flop in the BCS standings, still to play the nat'l champ.
