job growth is already stalling, and

unemployment will increase again in The Trump Pandemic as red/Confederate states continue to spread the virus.

Returned employees will bring or get C19 into the businesses which will be forced to shutdown, layoff people.

I expect some C19 Rebels to travel to a low-infection city and start the spread again.

Quarantine the shithole Confederacy.

Austin's positivity rate is the highest in the country. So what does that mean?

White House officials showed in a Friday news conference that Austin's positivity rate was the highest in the US.

Texas cities were four of the top five on the list.

A percentage or two is off because of discrepancies between employed and furloughed. Even the Dept. of Labor will tell you that. Also, they survey this through the middle of the month. Jobs are being lost NOW as states roll back reopening and the virus spreads. Facts not feelings, remember? Fuck off with the crying about doom and gloom while trying to paint a rosey, yet wholly inaccurate picture.

What do you think was going to happen when phase 1 and phase 2 happening all over US. These aren't added jobs, they are replacement jobs that were lost in prior months. Speaking about "records" is so stupid and asinine. Don't the Trump supporters know this? You close, jobs go away, re-open you bring jobs back. This isn't rocket science and has nothing to do with the administration. If Trump is taking a victory lap for this, then why not own the historic losses prior? Oh yeah, right...I forgot classic goal post politics. What a disgrace.

The U.S. job market is still in very bad shape. Just wait until the fiscal time bomb goes off.

In June the U.S. economy added (https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm) 4.8 million payroll jobs, which is of course great news for those newly hired. Unfortunately, it means diddly squat for those still out of work.

And many, many millions more Americans remain in that unhappy situation.

Federal Reserve officials have expressed concern that

economic conditions could get much worse with a renewed spike in infections, :lol Thanks, Confederacy

The path of the pandemic aside, other major economic risks loom on the horizon.

In particular, a major fiscal time bomb is about to detonate.

Enhanced unemployment benefits are scheduled to expire at the end of July, and

Republicans have said that no way, no how (https://www.businessinsider.com/lindsey-graham-congress-coronavirus-unemployment-benefit-over-our-dead-bodies-2020-4) will the program be renewed,

even if unemployment remains in double digits.

Additionally, states and localities are going broke.

Thanks to covid-19, their tax revenue has plummeted and their expenses have gone up.

the pandemic will reduce state revenue alone by $200 billion over fiscal 2020 and 2021.

Governors (and mayors and other local officials) have (https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-state-budget-crisis-is-not-just-a-blue-state-crisis-its-an-every-state-crisis/2020/05/21/89cfe904-9b95-11ea-ac72-3841fcc9b35f_story.html?itid=lk_inline_manual_37) pleaded (https://www.nga.org/news/press-releases/state-and-local-coalition-comes-together-to-appeal-for-federal-aid-as-fiscal-year-ends/) for federal help.

Yep. And I don't know why people are preemptively celebrating this anyway. Half of June was rather tame with regard to Coronavirus spread, so businesses reopened and those jobs were re-added. But guess what's happened over the past two weeks? Coronavirus brought us back to reality and we're once again seeing statewide closures of bars, restaurants, and curfews. And this recent poll showed that 76% of Americans are worried about catching it, up from 69% in mid-June. https://www.ipsos.com/en-us/news-polls/abc-news-coronavirus-poll

This will likely translate into lower consumer confidence and such.

Large loss of life and disruption from illness from a pandemic costs more to an economy than shutting down. I would give you the link to the economic study on that if you weren't too lazy to read it.
